My Heart only Beats for You (Natalie Godfrey)

Chapter 2489

"Grandmother," Rorita said once more, "Please find someone suitable to raise the baby. Please don't let my sister-in-law raise him." Madam Quartley understood what Rorita meant.

She then said, "I understand. I'll raise the baby myself for as long as I breathe. Before I die, I'll find a good person to look after him." Rorita nodded and respectfully bowed at Madam Quartley.

Madam Quartley quickly held her up, "What are you doing? There's no need for all these formalities. We're talking about my great-grandson, I'm just doing what's right." Rorita sobbed and said, "Grandmother, that's not it. I just feel terribly ashamed. I thought I could be your granddaughter for the rest of my life, but now I want a divorce." Madam Quartley was shocked.

After a moment, she asked, "Are you sure you want to do this?"

Rorita nodded and said, "Madam Quartley, I never would have dared to see you if I wasn't."

Madam Quartley sighed deeply.

Nonsense!

This wasn't Rorita's fault!

No woman could stand Tremaine with what he was going to do!

"Rorita, you are a good woman. I won't take up anymore of your time. I will speak of this with Tremaine and get him to agree right away." "Grandmother, I'll speak to him myself."

"Alright, go and talk to him yourself." Madam Quartley then murmured to herself, "This home is breaking up once again, it's over!"

That evening when Tremaine returned, Rorita went up to him and told him that she wanted a divorce right away.

Tremaine felt very gratified.

He had never wanted to get in Rorita's way.

Rorita wanting a divorce was for the best.

He immediately informed the relevant staff members about their divorce.

Rorita was in a daze as she held her divorce papers.

When did she marry him?

It didn't seem that long ago.

She was so happy when she first got her marriage certificate!

Because she had finally married the man she loved.

Even though he never loved her, she was very happy.

She never expected to divorce him so soon.

Rorita signed the divorce papers. Tremaine then calmly said to her, "Rorita, I hope you find yourself a man who really loves you someday." Rorita looked at Tremaine.

Her eyes looked a little misty.

Her mouth trembled.

She wanted to say something, but chose not to.

All she said was, "Okay, thanks."

Soon, it was the following day.

Rorita had gone back to her parent's home.

News of her divorce had spread to the Cowell family.

Rorita's parents constantly criticized her for her actions. They told her that she shouldn't have acted so rashly in divorcing Tremaine so quickly.

She should have informed them about this beforehand.

Rorita didn't say anything or explain herself to them.

When her sister Weverly heard that she had gotten divorced, she quickly made her way to her parent's home. When she got there, she saw her parents yelling at Rorita. She quickly pulled her aside and into her room.

She then gently said, "Rorita, I heard you got divorced. This is a good thing." Rorita was shocked.

Weverly lowered her voice and said,

"Is he going to resign? There are rumors that he's going to do it because of another woman. Rorita, know how you must be feeling. You've put so much effort into the president but he never loved You must be desperate, aren't you? I'm your sister, I know what you're going through. Don't be upset."

After that, she gently stroked Rorita's back and said, "You're such an amazing woman. Don't worry, you'lDfind yourself a good man who will never let you down."
