My Heart only Beats for You (Natalie Godfrey)

Chapter 2374

If only she had met the president much earlier in her life.

If he hadn't met Yesseca, would he have fallen in love with her?

In the darkness of the night, Rorita's lips curled up bitterly.

She shouldn't be thinking about this.

Because she had actually met him before that woman did.

They had met when she was fourteen years old.

It was just a quick glimpse at the time. They had said nothing to each other.

If she had been brave enough to talk to him then, would they have ended up together?

She was still smiling bitterly.

She was being stupid.

Things would have been different at all.

Back then she was only a fourteen year old girl who was still wet behind the ears. He wouldn't have been interested in her at all.

Some things were just meant to be.

There was no way to change any of it.

No matter how many lives she would live through, there was no changing her destiny.

That's just how it is.

Soon it was the next day.

Ruth had gone to Agaphen City to attend her relative's funeral.

It was a very large funeral and lots of people were there. Ruth easily slipped into the crowd inconspicuously.

She was just about to leave when she suddenly saw a familiar person.

It was Yesseca.

Ruth was shocked.

Were her eyes playing tricks on her? Was Yesseca really here?

Ruth rubbed her eyes and looked again. It really was Yesseca.

Yesseca also spotted Ruth.

She was shocked as well.

Both of them were shocked for some time. Yesseca was the first to respond and asked, "Ruth, is that really you?"

For some reason, even though she hadn't seen Ruth in such a long time she still felt a familiar sense of warmth from her.

"My relative passed away. I came to offer my respects." Ruth explained. "Yesseca, what are you doing here?"

Yesseca replied, "Your relative was a regular customer at our bakery and also enjoyed our desserts. They had arranged for our desserts to be served for the family members to enjoy."

This was a common tradition in Agaphen City.

Funerals were not sad events here but rather a happy occasion to celebrate the life of the deceased. Funerals here were often accompanied with lively music and delicious food that the deceased enjoyed in their life.

Ruth then asked, "Yesseca, you work as an assistant in a bakery now?"

Yesseca shook her head. "No, I own a bakery."

"That's amazing," Ruth replied.

"Do you have some time? If you do, you should come by my bakery." Yesseca said invitingly.

Yesseca was very happy to bump into an old friend again. Even if that friend of hers was from the Quartley Palace.

She really wanted to sit down and catch up with Ruth.

Ruth hesitated for a moment.

She also wanted to visit Yesseca's store and to catch up with her, but she was worried about her baby.

She wanted to refuse her invitation, but she was worried that this would be the last time they would ever see each other again.

"Could you give me a minute, Yesseca? I have to make a phone call," Ruth said.

เอน;

Yesseca nodded. "Alright, I'll be waiting, I'm also quite busy right- now anyway. I still have a lot of desserts to serve. You can give me a call when you're done."

Ruth called the servants at the villa.

The servant told Ruth that the baby was fine.

"She had woken up once and cried for some milk. We fed him some powdered milk and he accepted it. He's now playing." The servant reported to Ruth.

Ruth heaved out a sigh of relief as she heard this.

She told the servant that she would be back later than planned.
