Chapter 915
Her?
Sherilyn's gaze shifted upwards to Gilbert, a question hanging in the balance. What did this have to do with him?
Gilbert just shook his head, clearly befuddled. He had just arrived and was completely out of the loop. "Hmph!"
The girl scoffed, pointing an accusing finger at Gilbert.
"In Sunhaven, who doesn't know that Mr. Gilbert, our very own Mr. Nine, has his heart set on Caroline!"
Caroline?
Sherilyn paused, taking a moment to process this. Was this girl here because of Caroline?
She glanced at Gilbert, an eyebrow raised, a small smile playing on her lips. "See, the whole of Sunhaven knows." "Sherilyn..." Gilbert frowned.
He had explained himself more times than he could count, yet it never seemed enough.
As they exchanged looks, the girl's indignation only grew.
"Shameless woman! It's you! You're the one who, with your cunning wiles, stole Caroline's man!"
Sherilyn shifted her focus back to the girl, "You're a friend of Caroline's...?"
"Yes! I'm her fan! A friend she's had in spirit for ages!"
A fan? Sherilyn was at a loss. Were fans really this... fervent nowadays?
Overflowing with righteous anger, the fan's voice rose with every word.
"You've already taken her lover, and now you're stealing her endorsements too! I've never seen someone as shameless as you! Can't you live without taking things from others?" "Huh?"
Sherilyn was taken aback, shaking her head with a chuckle, "You've got it wrong. The endorsement was the brand's decision..."
"Ugh!"
The fan spat out, her disdain palpable, "Refusing to own up, huh? Typical of a D-lister. When Caroline was at her peak, you were probably warming some sugar daddy's bed!" "Enough!"
Gilbert couldn't stand the insults any longer.
He scolded the fan, his chin lifted slightly, "Where do you get off spewing such nonsense?"
His presence was intimidating, causing the fan to shrink back in fear.
Yet, despite her fear, she refused to back down, especially with Gilbert defending Sherilyn.
She sneered at Gilbert, "And you're no better! Weren't you devoted to Caroline for years, with eyes only for her? And yet, here you are, falling for the first pretty face you see! Fickle
and faithless, just another man!"

Gilbert was momentarily stunned, then amused and irritated in equal measure.
Was this person serious?
Had fans stopped using their brains when it came to their idols?
Engaging further seemed pointless.
"Sherilyn..."
He gestured to Sherilyn, "Let's not bother with her. She's not right in the head. Let's go."
But Sherilyn wasn't looking at him.
"My work isn't done."
She turned and walked towards the dressing room, needing to tidy up after the confrontation. "Mr. Harrison..."
Karol glanced at Gilbert, whose
handsome face was clouded with et
annoyance, and offered a
smile, "I'll go with her." Conish
He hurried after Sherilyn.
"Hmph!"
But the fan wasn't finished. She followed, a bottle of water in hand, and threw it at Sherilyn's feet.
"Sherilyn! This isn't over! I'm going to make sure I give you what you deserve on behalf of Caroline!" What? Sherilyn had no time to react.
"Sherilyn! Watch out!"
Karol's warning came just in time as she pushed Sherilyn out of the way, right towards Gilbert. "Mr. Harrison!"
Gilbert caught Sherilyn smoothly, steadying her in his arms.
"Ah..."
Karol slipped, her cry echoing as she fell to the ground. "Ow!" "Karol!"
Sherilyn quickly broke free from Gilbert, rushing to Karol's side.
"Sherilyn...Gilbert, now holding an empty embrace, watched the chaos and pulled out his phone, ing a number.
He usually wouldn't lower himself to argue with a woman, but enough was enough.
