When They Beg, I Rise!

Chapter 309

Lemira's expression remained unchanged as she firmly grasped the wrist of the middle-aged woman.

Her voice was ice cold: "And how is that any of my concern?"

"How can you say it's none of your concern? You've been all cozy with that Jackson, letting that loser sneak into the girls' dorm. It's your messy affairs that dragged my daughter into this."

"My daughter has always been well-behaved. How could she ever do such a thing? It's all over the internet, you and Jackson messing around in the dorm!"

Lemira flung the hand of Clara's mom away: "But everyone in the club knows Clara was chasing after Jackson, even spending nights out with him. Your so-called good daughter is just lying to you." She couldn't believe Clara would lie to her own parents!

"That's still your fault. You knew my daughter was taken advantage of by that scumbag, and even blackmailed with a video. Why didn't you help her when she asked?"

Lemira had initially thought Clara was lying.

Now, it seemed Clara's deceitful nature was learned from her parents.

Lemira raised her voice: "Your daughter slept with a jerk, got photographed, and videoed, begged for my help, and I didn't. And then? Why don't you finish your story?" The middle-aged woman's gaze faltered.

"If you won't say it, I will. Clara then got in touch with Jackson, plotted to sneak him into the girls' dorm, and even drugged my drink. That's the real reason Clara got caught!" The surrounding students began to murmur among themselves.

"So, that's the story. Clara was foolish, chasing after Jackson when his reputation was already trash."

"No wonder that night in the dorm, Clara ran out to hug Jackson, even exposed the whole mess herself."

Clara's mother, flushed with anger, retorted: "Lemira, if you had just agreed to help my daughter from the start, none of this would have happened!"

"First off, your daughter being

deceived has nothing to do with me. Secondly, she could've gone to the

police if she was tricked, I'm not

obligated to help."

The middle-aged woman burst into tears: "But you were roommates, how could you be so heartless!"

Lemira's voice dripped with sarcasm: "I was going to let it go, but since you put it that way, I might as well sue over this mess!"

The couple suddenly felt they had no ground to stand on and slunk away.

Janice came over and said: "Clara's parents are way out of line. How could they possibly blame you!"

"Some people, they ask for your help,

and if you refuse, they immediately

think you're the cause of their

el solve

troubles because you didn't

them."

After Lemira finished speaking, someone nearby agreed: "A fight turned into a feud, that's exactly it!"

Lemira turned and walked back to the classroom.

At the edge of the crowd, Susanna witnessed the entire scene.

Susanna turned to Evelina: "That's your plan? Lemira got off scot-free!"

"Ms. Sinclair, I didn't expect Clara's parents to be so weak, unable to touch Lemira."

Evelina tried to appease Susanna, surprised herself at how quickly Susanna had been released on bail.

"Ha, Lemira thinks she can shine just by being a streamer, how despicable!"

Susanna loathed Lemira to her core.

Seeing the hatred on Susanna's face, Evelina provocatively said: "Ms. Sinclair, I heard that after reporting Jackson, Lemira plans to run for the team captain."

"That lowlife dreaming? Our Sinclair family is the team's largest sponsor; there's no way Lemira is getting that position!"
