The Fortune-Telling Heiress

Chapter 306

Chapter 306

Harvey dropped Madison off at Haven House. As soon as he got out of the car, he spotted Rebecca and Tanya standing at the entrance.

He furrowed his brows but didn't say anything. Instead, he opened the car door and said to Madison, "Becky and Mom are here. If you don't want to see them, I can send them home." Madison shook her head. "Let's see what they have to say."

Harvey felt a complex mix of emotions toward his family. On one hand, he was saddened by their favoritism toward Rebecca. On the other hand, he couldn't let go of them. He kept a stem expression and stepped aside, allowing Madison to get out of the car. Tanya's eyes were filled with concem as she anxiously looked at Madison. When Madison walked over, she quickly asked, "Why are you out of the hospital so soon? Is your wound healed?" "Yeah."

Wanda grabbed her bag and opened the door, inviting Tanya and the others inside.

Rebecca trailed behind Tanya, wearing a submissive expression as if she had been bullied and wronged. She followed Tanya closely before sitting anxiously in a chair.

When Wanda brought in tea, Rebecca stood up to accept it, repeatedly saying, "Thank you, thank you!"

Wanda was taken aback. After serving the tea, she stood beside Madison.

Meanwhile, Yara was standing somewhere out of Rebecca's sight.

Taking advantage of their inability to hear, she openly remarked, "Rebecca has really gotten addicted to acting, hasn't she? I've seen her in a few shows, and she's not even that good. If she could bring her acting skills from real life onto the screen, she would've won awards by now."

Mia pouted in frustration. "She's just a bad person."

Yara patted her head. "That's right. She's a bad person. Let's not stoop to her level, okay?"

Mia looked at Yara in confusion. "Yara, aren't you going to deal with her?"

The usual Yara would be all for dealing with her.

Mia nodded, still confused.

Meanwhile, Rebecca and Tanya explained their purpose for visiting.

Harvey's expression darkened instantly. "Mom, do you even realize what you're saying?"

Tanya shot Harvey a glare before turning to Madison with a smile.

"Maddie, what do you think? This is a minor issue for you. Becky has already accepted their apology publicly. You weren't really hurt either, so let's just forgive them," Tanya said gently. "You're a cultivator, after all, and it's good to do good deeds." Rebecca frowned, looking at Madison with a tearful expression.

"Maddie, I just feel sorry for them. Three hundred grand isn't much for us, but it's a huge amount for the Robertsons! They acted out of desperation because they lost that money. They came to me asking for help, and I couldn't say no to them."

Harvey scoffed in anger as he stood up abruptly. "You forgave Megan's fans on behalf of Maddie when they caused trouble, and now, you're doing the same with the Robertsons! Maddie is the victim here, so it's her choice whether to forgive them or not." "Why are you shouting?" Before Harvey could finish, Tanya stood up, glaring at him in anger. "You said this should be Maddie's decision, so why are you yelling at Becky? Harvey, have you noticed how much you've changed since you ran into Serena again?" The mention of Serena caused a slight change in Harvey's expression. He turned away, took a deep breath, and replied coldly, "Mom, please don't involve anyone else in this, especially not Serena."
