Chapter 3637 Someone Has To Solve It
In the following month, Nathan prepared for the attack on the Divine Realm.
He knew that there wasn't much time left for Earth.
Upon realizing that they couldn't retrieve God's Punisher Spaceship, the Gods will surely build a new one. With their experience and capabilities, they could even construct several spaceships of the same caliber as God's Punisher Spaceship. If they didn't take the initiative to attack before the Gods succeeded, the Earth would be in danger.
Thanks to the knowledge gained from prior endeavors and the apprehension of a fresh group of God experts during this operation, the pace of repairing God's Punisher Spaceship proceeded at an astonishingly rapid rate.
The refurbishment of the propulsion and communication system of God's Punisher Spaceship neared completion, but the stumbling block persisted with the superweapon, which remained temporarily beyond repair. It was understandable, though.
After all, this superweapon was a masterpiece created by Coleman, head of Gods' research institute.
During the practical testing, Coleman's team encountered problems with their weapon, which couldn't be considered a success.
Eve alone couldn't easily fix this problematic weapon system!
As the God's Punisher Spaceship approached the final stages of its repair, Hepburn paid another visit to Nathan.
She was accompanied by her two capable generals, Max, an Earth vampire, and Sinistral, a primordial vampire.
Hepburn conveyed her excitement to Nathan, saying, "Mr. Cross, following my efforts, every vampire has unanimously agreed to join the mission against the Divine Realm. The destiny of the vampire community now lies in your capable hands." Max and Sinistral both had faces full of excitement.
Sinistral was a vampire from the Divine Realm. He himself never imagined that one day, he would actually have the chance to strike back at the Divine Realm.
This was something the primordial vampires could only dream of, and yet, Nathan made it a reality for them.
Max once held a grudge against Nathan, but fate worked in mysterious ways.
They were all vampires now.
However, Max was the kind of person who was naturally destined for great things. After realizing that his abilities were far inferior to Nathan's, he was more than happy to serve under Nathan.
Upon learning that Nathan was leading them to attack the Divine Realm, he too excitedly agreed to join.
In his view, this was a grand feat of history. If they were successful, he would be one of those creating miracles alongside Nathan!
Nathan conveyed his approval,
stating, "Excellent! Prepare
yourselves,
the next few days, I'll
be formally announcing this to the War Gods of the Earth Alliance. While t've already made the decision to make the vampires the primary foree in the attack, for a matter of this magnitude, it's crucial to inform the War Gods within the alliance."
Hepburn said, "Okay!"
The next day, during the routine Earth Alliance meeting, Nathan, with War Gods such as Leopold and Wolfric in attendance, outlined the pressing crisis confronting Earth. He also unveiled his determination to seize the initiative by launching an assault against the Gods. Right after hearing that, the scene exploded into chaos as the War Gods present went into a frenzy.
They all agreed that Earth was currently facing a threat from the Divine Realm. However, when it came to launching an offensive against this Divine Realm, they all tactfully indicated that they couldn't send their soldiers into the perilous expanse of space to battle the Gods.
Wolfric was remarkably candid in his
conversation with Nathan. He said, "Commander Cross, I understand that you're undertaking this for the benefit of Earth. However, have you ever taken into account the fact that our soldiers have no desire to leave Earth, let alone journey to that
desolate expanse in the Divine
Realm for battle?"
Leopold added his perspective, saying, "Certainly, our soldiers are ready to defend Earth on its own soil, but the idea of departing Earth to engage in warfare within the Divine Realm may not be well-received. People would likely harbor doubts. Is this truly necessary?"
In a solemn tone, Nathan responded,
"The Gods have already developed the God's Punisher Spaceship! I was fortunate to take it back with me this time, temporarily averting the crisis on Earth. However, can we afford to believe the Gods won't manufacture more God's Punisher Spaceships to confront Earth? When that day
arrives, even if we wish to attack or resist, it might already be too late."
Leopold said, "We understand this, but our soldiers and our people may not necessarily understand!"
Wolfric remained firm. "No matter how you put it, Ariarican soldiers and citizens will never agree to go to the Divine Realm."
Nathan looked at the other War Gods.
The prevailing sentiment among those gathered closely aligned with the perspectives voiced by Leopold and Wolfric. While acknowledging the very real threat posed by the Gods, the consensus among the assembly was that sending troops to engage in combat within the realm of the Gods was met with widespread disagreement.
This was already anticipated by Nathan.
Ultimately, Nathan stated coldly, "The threat posed by the Gods is undeniably imminent. If the military forces of your respective nations are unwilling to take action, then it falls upon someone to address this peril, right?" Following Nathan's statement, Fang panicked.
He feared that Nathan might be contemplating leading the Eurasian forces into the Divine Realm for a battle.
Startled, he quickly spoke up. "Chief Cross?"
Nathan said calmly, "Everyone seems reluctant, but I do have a thought in mind. Would you all be willing to hear it?"
