Chapter 3625 The New Spaceship Of Gods
In the following few days, the spaceship flew in stealth mode.
Every day, Marcus and other experts bustled around, recording various valuable data.
In comparison, warriors like Nathan and Colin were quite relaxed.
They did not encounter any dangers. On top of that, Eve and the other Gods were behaving, showing no signs of rebellion.
And so, a week went by peacefully.
Nathan was just about to order the spaceship to start its return journey when something unexpected occurred.
Beacon of Dawn that was in stealth mode received a signal.
That sudden situation startled Marcus.
He quickly reported it to Nathan.
Nathan, who was resting in the lounge, rushed to the bridge with Colin and others without delay after he was informed of the unexpected situation.
Marcus and Eve had already been waiting there for quite some time.
Nathan sat down in the commander's seat and asked in a deep voice, "What's going on?"
Marcus anxiously said, "We received a mysterious signal."
"It's a warning signal from a Gods' spaceship," Eve explained.
Nathan turned grave. "We've encountered a Gods' spaceship. Have they discovered us?"
Marcus said, "I have ordered Beacon of Dawn to continue retaining its stealth mode and prohibited any signal responses. It seems the Gods' spaceship emitting the signal hasn't detected us. But if we were to go any closer, I can't promise that will remain true." Nathan immediately said, "Well done. Not only do we need to maintain stealth, but we also have to reduce our speed. We must not get close to the Gods' spaceship."
"Understood!" Marcus replied.
Nathan turned his head to Eve again. "You mentioned earlier that the Gods' spaceship was sending out a warning signal. But they clearly didn't discover us. Why would they send out a warning signal?"
Eve explained, "This warning signal
is coming from a new spaceship called God's Punisher Spaceship. Its size is three times that of the
Beacon of Dawn. The warning signal it's sending out isn't aimed at us. It's continuously emitting warning signals in this area to allow other Gods' spaceships to identify and avoid it. It's seemingly planning to carry out some test here?"
Test?
Nathan abruptly had some recollection of it.
He remembered what Eve had once said.
When the Gods developed powerful new weapons, they often did not conduct tests on their home planet. Instead, they ventured into space and tested on other planets.
Could it be that Gods are planning to conduct weapon tests in this area?
"Yes, I reckon that this God's
Punisher Spaceship is planning to conduct some dangerous weapons test here That's why it's
broadcasting signals widely to warn Gods spaceships in this region to steer clear," Eve surmised softly.
Marcus asked, "Mr. Cross, should we take this opportunity to slip away before God's Punisher Spaceship detects us?"
Everyone looked at Nathan.
After all, Beacon of Dawn was considered an old spaceship.
It could never comparable with Gods' new generation of spaceships at present.
If God's Punisher Spaceship were to discover them, a battle between the two spaceships would be inevitable. When that happened, Beacon of Dawn was likely to be destroyed by God's Punisher Spaceship. Thus, making a quick exit was probably the best choice.
At first, Nathan also wanted to take off. But he changed his mind at the last minute.
He said in a deep voice, "No! Let's not run just yet. The enemy hasn't detected us in our stealth mode yet. If we rush to escape now, there's a chance they might discover us, leading to a pursuit. Secondly, since they haven't discovered us, we'll keep ourselves hidden at a distance. Let's see the kind of weapons they are testing here to observe the gap between Gods and us humans. A better understanding of them and the gap between us can help us to better grasp the current situation and make the best decisions when dealing with them in the future."
Aboard Beacon of Dawn, the remaining humans besides Eve and the Gods were either soldiers or science fanatics.
There was no one cowardly or afraid of death.
Thus, everyone agreed when Nathan suggested secretly observing God's Punisher Spaceship's weapon testing to seize the opportunity to understand the gap between their own capabilities and their enemy's. Therefore, Beacon of Dawn quietly hid on the sidelines and surreptitiously observed God's Punisher Spaceship conducting its weapons testing there.
