Chapter 3622 Testing The Spaceship
A new path for the vampires had not yet been found.
Yet, news of the successful repair of the Beacon of Dawn arrived first.
Nathan, along with the Gods of War like Leopold and Wolfric, enthusiastically formed a group to visit the now-repaired Beacon of Dawn spaceship. With faces full of excitement, everyone looked at the spaceship lying quietly in the base that was like a roc waiting to soar into the heavens.
Wolfric couldn't help but exclaim, "Breathtaking! It's absolutely breathtaking!"
Leopold also commented, "Alien civilizations are truly impressive."
"This spaceship now belongs to our Earth," Nathan said with a faint smile.
Leopold hurriedly asked, "Commander Cross, is this spaceship ready to take off at any time?"
The group of Gods of War all gazed intently at Nathan.
He laughed. "In theory, yes. But it hasn't truly been flight-tested yet. Hence, I plan to attempt a flight test today. I invited everyone to come today so that you could witness it with your own eyes."
Upon hearing this, the Gods of War became thrilled once again.
"My gosh, it can already be flight-tested today?"
"We are truly fortunate to be able to witness this grand historical moment."
Nathan turned his head to look at Marcus and Eve behind him, asking lightly, "Are you two all set?"
"Everything is all set," replied Marcus. "But..."
Nathan frowned. "But what?"
Marcus hesitated before saying, "But our experts are not very familiar with the operation of the spaceship. The flight test this time will mainly be controlled by the Gods, led by Eve. What I mean is, we're short-staffed, and confidence is lacking..." Upon hearing this, Nathan understood.
Marcus was worried that after the spaceship took off, it would leave Earth and head into space.
The people inside the spaceship might not necessarily be able to control these Gods.
If, by any chance, the flight test was successful, and the Gods like Eve harbored ill intentions, they could seize control and pilot the spaceship back to their realm, causing Earth to suffer a double loss.
Looks like we must postpone the flight test until we find someone capable of handling these Gods to participate in it.
However, who has the capability and will be willing?
Nathan narrowed his eyes,
addressing the Gods of War, "Haha!
It seems Mr. Cafaro is a bit scared. Perhaps among us Gods of War, if someone accompanies Mr. Cafaro and his team to participate in the spaceship's flight test, it will put his mind at ease. Is anyone willing to participate?"
Holy cr*p! Participate in the spaceship's flight test?
No one knew how many years this spaceship had been stranded in the forbidden area of the Curia.
In addition, it was only theoretically repaired right now.
There was a chance it could explode just after takeoff.
All of the Gods of War occupied a high position.
Thus, who would be willing to entrust their lives to this test?
In an instant, everyone was looking at each other, with no one willing to board the spaceship.
Noticing that no one was
volunteering, Nathan added
indifferently, "Since everyone lacks confidence, I guess I have no choice but to bite the bullet and reluctantly step up to take matters into my own hands. I'll join Mr. Cafaro,
the team of engineers in
we and
participating in the flight fest of the spaceship!"
What?
Once these words were spoken, everyone at the scene was stupefied.
Very quickly, they then snapped back to reality, urging Nathan not to put himself in danger.
Colin spoke up. "Mr. Cross, you are a person of high status. How could you possibly risk danger yourself? How about I take your place on the spaceship instead?" Many of the Eurasian warmongers present eagerly vied to replace Nathan in boarding the spaceship.
However, Nathan shook his head. "You guys can't do it!"
And that was right.
Although the abilities of people like Colin were not to be underestimated, the spaceship would be flying into space. If the Gods were to rebel, the Gods of War probably wouldn't be able to suppress the Gods.
Nathan felt that for such an important matter, he needed to oversee it personally.
