Love Comes To Me

Chapter 979: Die your heart out

Rowson has been part of Bergerian's research team for some time now, but still doesn't have access to the core research. More often than not, it's a miscellany of things.

"My teacher asked you to clean the room next door."

George ordered Rowson around in an extremely arrogant manner.

Rowson didn't even look up, pretending not to hear him as he continued his research.

"Hey!" George's voice rose an octave, "Are you deaf? Can't you hear me talking to you?"

His voice caught the attention of the others and they looked over.

Rowson took his gloves off slowly, then looked up, expressionless, "I'm a researcher, not a cleaning lady, you let someone else clean." "Heh." George sneered, looking at him with contempt, "Don't be noble, you're just a handyman here, and a researcher, laugh at that."

Rowson clenched his fists and his handsome face tightened as a wave of anger churned in his chest.

"You don't really think Mr Bergerian asked you to join because of your abilities, do you?"

At that, George laughed out loud a few times and his tone became even meaner, "Actually, what he sees in you is your ability to clean. So get your ass over there and clean the room for me." This time Rowson stopped holding back and swung his fist straight at his face.

"Bang!"

George was too late to dodge and was punched raw in the face.

Rowson's strength was so great that he stumbled backwards a few steps before standing firm.

The pain hit him and George became furious and yelled, "You want to die!"

He lunged at Rowson.

The latter moved to the side and he lunged.

But the next second, he spun around, lifted his leg and kicked Rowson in the stomach.

Rowson was kicked square in the face and flew backwards, hitting his back hard against the edge of the table.

It hurt so much that his face turned white instantly.

"Do you really think you're a thing? I shucks, you're just a handyman in here." George cursed as he rushed over to hit him again.

Rowson couldn't care less about the pain and raised his hand to block.

The two men struggled and the scene got out of hand for a while.

The other fellows rushed up to pull the two men apart, and it took a great deal of effort to do so.

"Let go of me! I'm going to teach him a lesson today or I don't know who's in charge here." George struggled and tried to break away from the bystanders.

Rowson's entire face was white and a cold sweat was breaking out on his forehead, and he just looked so uncomfortable.

Professor Curry and Katerina arrived at the sound of the scene and both looked very uncomfortable when they saw it.

"What's going on here?" Professor Curry questioned sternly.

Someone told him exactly what was happening.

After hearing this, he glared hard at George and scolded, "This is a critical time for research and you still have time to make a scene, it seems that I gave you too easy a task." "Teachers..."

George tried to argue, but Professor Curry wouldn't give him the chance and scolded, "Shut up!"

Then looking to Rowson, his brow furrowed, "Fu, Bergerian asked you to join in because he believes in your abilities. One day you too will have access to the very core of research." One day?

A thick mockery surfaced under Rowson's eyes; he had been here for so long, defending himself from even some basic research, and talking about one day having access to the very core of it. Dreaming may be quick.

Professor Curry didn't want to make a big deal out of it, in case the Bergerian found out, the whole Institute would be in trouble.

So he arranged, "You don't have to clean the room, I'll have someone else do it. I see that you seem to be injured, so rest for a few days."

Rowson didn't say a word until Professor Curry left.

"Just you wait!"

Before leaving, George did not forget to warn him viciously.

"Are you all right?" Katerina stepped forward to hold him.

Rowson turned his head to look at her for a moment before shaking her hand off hard and walking out of the lab with an expressionless face.

A hint of annoyance flashed across Katerina's face, but she went after her.

"I'll take you back."

Before Rowson could get into the driver's seat, Katerina rushed up to stop him.

How can he drive when he walks crookedly and can't even straighten his back?

Rowson tried to refuse, but Katerina was quicker, pulling open the back seat door and pushing him in, then slamming the car door shut with force.

She sat in the driver's seat, buckling her seat belt as she looked back at the man in the back seat.

Rowson leaned back, his eyes tightly closed and his frown showing how hard he was feeling at the moment.

Katerina's eyes flickered slightly as she turned back and started the car.

...

Back at his place, Rowson was helped to sit down on the sofa by Catherine, who, without looking up, said coldly, "Thank you."

"Heh." Katerina sneered, "So reluctant, it's a fake thank you."

Rowson didn't make a sound as he squeezed his waist and suddenly drew a backward breath, his brow locking.

It hurts!

Seeing this, Katerina sneered, "George has learnt to box, you really don't want to die if you fight with him."

Rowson grimaced and still did not speak.

"Got any medicine? I'll press it for you."

Katerina finds herself always seeming to be kind to him, helping him in various ways, and wonders if she owes him something in a previous life. "It's not necessary. You go." Rowson refused.

Unexpected.

Katerina pretended not to hear him and rummaged around for bruises and bruises.

Rowson was in real pain and had no desire to stop her.

In the end, Katerina couldn't find the medicine and had to walk back to him, arms around her chest, looking at him somewhat coldly.

"Going to the hospital or not?" She asked.

"No go. You go."

Once again, Rowson gave the eviction order.

Katerina gasped, "You really think I care about you, I'm taking pity on you."

Having said this, Katerina turned to leave.

But when he reached the entrance, he couldn't help looking back at the man sitting in the living room.

She took a deep breath, "Forget it, consider it a good deed."

So she returned to Rowson, "I'll take you to the hospital, otherwise you'll be in such pain that you're afraid you'll be left with a disease."

"I said, get out of my way."

Rowson looked up and glared at her coldly.

Katerina was furious, she was putting her hot face on someone's cold ass and they didn't appreciate it at all.

"Rowson, is it worth it that you can go to such lengths for Eloise? I feel so bad for you when you're over here hurting like this and she's with another man!" Katerina sneered.

"Shut up!" Rowson oohed and aahed, staring her dead in the face, "You say another word and I will not spare you."

Katerina was shocked by the cruelty in his eyes, but reluctantly, she said, "I digress, Eloise already has another man, so die trying."

"Seek death!"

Rowson jerked closer to her, raising his hand to clasp her neck, his eyes narrowed with a hostile scowl.
