Chapter 686: Don't call her sister-in-law in future
The old guys on the board are all human beings, and although they are curious, they don't go up to them without eyes. One after another, they pretended that nothing had happened and continued with the meeting that had just been interrupted. After the regular meeting, Hector went home to change his clothes before going to meet Eloise at the appointed place. The two met at a private restaurant, which was simply decorated and protected the privacy of its customers well. Eloise had been waiting for a while when Hector arrived.
After sitting down, Eloise handed Hector the menu.
Hector had no preference when it came to food and ordered a few dishes at random.
Then the waiter was asked to fetch a bottle of red wine.
When it was over, Hector's eyes rested where Eloise's eyes were and he could sense that Eloise was in a bad mood. "What do you want from me?"
The man's cool voice came out and the concern in his words was unmistakable.
Eloise's determination, which had been so hard to make up, began to waver again.
She shook her head, banishing such unrealistic thoughts from her mind.
After taking a deep breath, Eloise closed her eyes, as if deciding on something.
"Hector, let's get a divorce."
With those words, the atmosphere around the two of them for ten metres instantly froze. Hector froze, a dangerous storm building up in his eyes.
He slowly leaned his body behind him, a lurid aura emanating from his surroundings.
After a moment's pause, Hector gathered his emotions together and lowered his eyebrows.
"Do you really want a divorce...?"
Eloise sniffed, her body stiffening and a little bitterness in her heart.
Trying to restrain her outgoing emotions, she said in a flat tone, "Yes, I thought better of it, Rowson saved me, and without him I would have been dead." "I'm sorry."
...
A dead silence answered her.
Hector had no expression, just looked at her quietly.
After a long time, Hector's voice rasped, "Now that you've thought about it, I respect your choice."
With those words, he did not look at Eloise again, his indifferent eyes turning away.
Eloise was frozen, she couldn't believe that Hector had agreed so easily.
She thought that he would never let go so easily.
She thought that he would try desperately to stay.
She thought that...
...
Everything is her own idea.
Seeing the confusion in Eloise's eyes, Hector pulled out a slightly bitter, light smile, "I don't want you to be embarrassed."
I don't want you to be embarrassed either ...
Eloise stared blankly at Hector, reading in those ink-coloured eyes a lot of emotion she didn't understand.
This man...
Even so, her heart still couldn't help but beat faster.
From the time she first met him to the present day, her heart has been for only one person since the beginning.
But the hurt and sadness in his eyes really stung Eloise's heart.
She didn't want him to.
Eloise don't look away, it's too much to bear.
Having got the desired result, she was not at all happy.
Tugging out a somewhat forlorn smile, Eloise looked over at him with slightly red eyes.
"I thought... you'd say no."
There was paper on the table and Hector pulled two sheets of paper and wiped his hands down.
Wipe each finger carefully before throwing away the paper towel.
"I will not refuse anything you ask for."
Whenever I can.
No one knows how tormented Hector was inside when he uttered those words.
Pushing the woman you love towards someone else with your eyes wide open. He is not a saint.
Hearing the fulfilment in his words, Eloise's nose tingled and she couldn't stay any longer. Tears flowed uncontrollably and she ducked her head in fear that Hector would see her. He must not be seen in this state of despondency.
He got up and said "sorry" to Hector, then ran away without looking back.
Hector sat in his seat and watched Eloise's distant back in silence until she disappeared.
It was as if a piece of flesh had been plucked out of the heart, and it was bloody. Without her, he would have no heart...
Rolling tears slid down and landed on his clean white shirt, leaving a tear stain.
Any sound or thing from the outside world, he could not feel at all.
Hands clenched into deadly fists, veins rippling on his arms.
It was a decision she made well.
He sat for a long time, so long that Hector could not notice his own breathing.
The waiter came over and asked, "Sir, your dish is ready, do you need to bring it up now?"
...
No answer.
Still wondering, the waiter was just about to ask once more when he met Hector's red, glowing eyes. There were so many emotions in those eyes that the waiter was at a loss as to what to do. "Get out."
The man's suppressed voice roared out, frightening the waiter into retreating.
"What a strange man." The waiter couldn't help but mutter.
There was supposed to be a beautiful young lady opposite him, and I don't know what happened.
After a moment, Hector stifled the wetness in his eyes.
He is Hector and cannot shed a tear.
The men of the Rogers family have always been on top of their game.
Get up and pay the bill, and then walk out of the restaurant.
Hector did not stop on the road much and went straight back to the Rogers family.
He walked into the house with a cold, handsome face.
The chill around her caused Mrs Matriarch to rub her body.
Glancing up at Hector, he subconsciously sensed that he was in the wrong mood.
She froze and inquired with concern, "Hector, what's wrong? Did something happen? The last time I saw Hector like this was when Hector first took over the company. However, the aura that came over him then was not as frightening as it is now. "No.", Hector headed straight inwards.
Mr Fletcher stopped Hector, "Who can you hide from like that? Say something before everyone gets worried." Rupert also felt that something was wrong with Hector, something particularly wrong.
But there is no one but Eloise who can make Hector change his mood.
Tentatively, he asked, "Brother, is there something else going on with your sister-in-law?"
Hector was silent, not saying yes or no.
The three Rogers family members understood that this was the default meaning.
Rupert was lost for a moment, and if it was about Eloise, it would be a problem.
But before he could figure it out, he heard Hector speak coldly, "Don't call her sister-in-law in the future." With a start, Hector felt that this was serious.
Originally they called Hector by default, but now... his brother has actually told to change his name to Hoo! This must be what's happening.
"Brother, I just scream in private, I don't even scream in front of her, is this what sister-in-law... her request?" Rupert was uncomfortable for a while, and he secretly fought to find out what was going on
But with that little trick of his, he couldn't hide it from Hector.
"No."
Deny Rupert's questions and, by the way, avoid the trap Rupert has set.
At this point Hector was back to being the cold man who spared no words.
