Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 1012

Willy picked up the blazer on the ground and frowned. Then, he draped a thin cardigan over Lauren's shoulders.

"Did she hurt you? Are you injured?" he asked, feeling concerned.

Lauren was surprised, and tilted her head to look at him. "I thought you were going to blame me for causing trouble..."

After all, his gaze earlier...

"You're not someone like that! If she didn't attack first, you wouldn't have fought back!" he said.

Moreover, it was obvious that Hallie was being hostile towards her earlier. Willy could guess what had happened by looking at the high heel footprint on his jacket in his hand.

She was already married, why was she still being so problematic?

Lauren was astonished, as she didn't expect a man that she wasn't too close to, to trust her so much, and couldn't help but to smile faintly.

"It wasn't me, it was an argument between Hallie and her husband... I just happened to come across it by accident!" she said.

She didn't like gossiping behind people's back, so she only gave a simple explanation. Willy was obviously a little shocked, and helped her up.

"It's cold out here, we should get back in!" he said.

"Okay!" she replied.

Back at the banquet hall, the two of them sat down for a while. Willy could sense Hallie's hostile gaze towards Lauren, and he didn't dare to be too far away from her at all. He didn't even dare to be more than three feet away from her when he grabbed some snacks for her to help her regain some energy.

As for Victoria, Trevor looked after her carefully while he held her while they walked around, as if he was taking care of a baby. He would use his body to open the way whenever there was a crowd as he was worried that she would fall and get hurt.

Needless to say, Frederick was on the next level of being a loving husband. Finally being able to reunite with Alicia after such a long time, his gaze was fixed on her for the entire party. Even Sharon was accompanied by Carson for the whole time. They bickered endlessly throughout the party, but they never separated. Not to mention Caroline, as she was the only single lady in the Clements family, so she was loved and pursued by many. There weren't many guests that night, but everyone treated her well, and greeted her with smiles and graciousness. Looking at the scene, Hallie's mind was filled with fury.

Why was she the only one with a terrible relationship?

That night, Christian was immersed in joy, and he didn't bother about her. Penny was occupied by her dissatisfaction, and didn't bother about her either. Mason had been reprimanded multiple times that night, and he couldn't even handle his own problems. Therefore, Hallie was left alone to be tormented by the sight of happiness of the others for the entire night.

By the time the party ended, she felt as if her heart was going to explode out of anger.

As Penny walked out, she noticed Hallie walking out alone. Before getting into the car, she asked nonchalantly, "Why are you alone? Where's Caven?"

Hallie felt unhappy, and there were still bruises on her arms. She wanted to tell her mother about her misery, but before she could start speaking, she received a scolding instead.

"You're not young anymore, you shouldn't only be thinking about businesses and travelling! It's been so long, why aren't you pregnant yet? You should definitely think of a solution to that, and get pregnant as soon as possible! That's what you should be doing! If nothing is helping, you should go and get a checkup!" Penny yelled.

Penny was furious, and she couldn't control the irritation and frustration in her tone. After speaking, she sighed, and got into the car, leaving Hallie behind. Hallie felt miserable and wronged, and she didn't know who to tell her sorrows to.

At last, she entered the car in dejection.

As soon as she adjusted her seat and looked forward, she caught sight of Willy walking Lauren out through the rearview mirror. The two of them seemed to be talking about something, and they seemed to be talking gently and sweetly. After that, Lauren got into Willy's car, and she could see that he not only opened the door for her, but also carried her bag for her.

Hallie clenched her fist so hard that her fingers pierced through her palms, and she could feel the throbbing pain in her heart. She never knew that there was such a gentle and considerate side to a cold and ruthless man like him!

He wasn't cold and ruthless, he wasn't ignorant about love. He wasn't too busy to date, and he didn't prefer knowledgeable ladies from wealthy families... They were all excuses, and he was only using them to reject her! It was because she was Hallie, the stepsister of his best friend!

She thought that she would have a better chance with this identity, but the truth was that she had lost to a tomboy who had been in the prison!

Willy, Willy!

He'd rather choose a woman like Lauren than give her a chance! How was that woman any better than her? If he had given her a chance, she wouldn't have ended up like that that day... She wouldn't have married a man who seemed perfect on the outside, but was horrible on the inside!

However, she couldn't get a divorce!

If she divorced with him, she was

going to end up on the headlines of the Casterwich City newspapers, and she was going to become the laughing stock of many! What hope would she have left then? The car started to move, while Hallie grasped onto the hem of her skirt

tightly, wrinkling it...

After the banquet was over, the family had supper together. Alicia sent their grandmother and parents off, then went upstairs. Just then, the baby woke up, and she fed him as she hummed a tune. "Clinton, Clinton, my good baby, la... lala..." she sang.

Frederick gave the servants

instructions, then entered the room, only to see the warm and loving scene. Watching the adult and child on the bed, he felt as if his heart was going to melt. Frederick sat next to her and was about to touch the baby's face, when he felt a glare of despise shooting towards him.

Alicia said, "Hey, wash your hands first..."

Frederick stopped halfway, couldn't help giggling. "Oh right, I forgot about it! I'll do it right away!"

He placed his chin on Alicia's shoulder as he waved to their son. "My good boy Clinton, daddy will come back to see you after he washes his hands!"

Then, Frederick got up and went to the bathroom. He also took a shower and changed into his pajamas before returning to the room.

Seeing that the child was back on his own crib and was about to fall asleep, Frederick patted Alicia's hand lightly as he watched.

"Hubby, look at our good boy Clinton! He only sleeps and eats, he doesn't make any noise at all!" she said.

"Yes, he's very obedient, just like you!" Frederick replied.

"He's a boy, I wouldn't want him to be too obedient. I'd like him to be more like you, and it's fine if he's a little ambitious. The most important thing is that he has to be a responsible man!" Alicia said. Alicia glanced at the little boy on the bed. She hoped that he could grow up safely and healthily. She didn't need him to be very successful, but she hoped that he would be a good and helpful person. "Don't worry, he will be!" Frederick said.

They watched as the baby fell asleep, then walked over to their bedroom afterwards. That night, they were both very excited, and chatted until midnight before falling asleep in each other's arms...

The next day, the news of the

one-month-old party of the

Clements family made headlines of

all newspapers. For the next few days, news that was more interesting than that took its place, like the news of the four most influential people of Casterwich City gathering together, and all four of them were taken! Once again, the

topic of the 'four young masters'

trended vigorously!

In a dark room, Selena was dumbfounded as she scrolled through her phone and stared at it intently. "How is this possible? Can she actually stand up now?"

Why? Why did he fall in love with a cripple? What power did Victoria have that others didn't?
