Chapter 913
Rebecca White finally said goodbye to the quaint Sunset Ridge Community.
Sherilyn was by her side, helping her pack and even driving her to her new place. Thankfully, Rebecca didn't have much luggage, so it was an easy move for the two of them.
Her new place was a two-bedroom apartment suite which, for the moment, she had all to herself, including a kitchen and bathroom.
"Not too shabby," Sherilyn commented as she took a tour of the apartment, nodding in approval.
"Yeah," Rebecca agreed, busy unpacking her boxes. "There's a big supermarket nearby, and the subway station isn't far either. It's convenient for getting to work and visiting the Johnsons." "That's awesome."
Sherilyn joined her, helping to organize things. She then asked, "How's the divorce proceeding?"
At the mention of divorce, Rebecca's brow furrowed. "Eddy Jones has been out of town, in Sunhaven. We'll have to wait until he's back."
"He hasn't signed the papers yet?"
Sherilyn paused, calculating the time that had passed, "It's been quite a while. Do you think he doesn't want to go through with it?"
"Hmph," Rebecca scoffed. "I don't care what he wants. The moment he's back, if he tries to stall, I'm filing a lawsuit."
"It's good that you're clear about what you want. If you want to divorce, there's no such thing as an unbreakable marriage."
"I know."
...
Early Saturday morning, Blake came to pick up Sherilyn for a photoshoot for a brand endorsement campaign.
Currently without an assistant, Sherilyn relied on Blake, her agent, to manage her schedule. Though Blake was a busy man himself, working as an assistant director, he made sure to drop her off at the set and ensured everything was communicated properly with the production and brand teams before he had to leave.
"Sherilyn, I have to go. I've arranged everything, just call if there's an issue."
Sherilyn smiled and nodded, "I've got this, Blake. Don't worry."
"Ah..." Blake sighed, "I should really find you an assistant. It's my oversight, waiting until the last minute to think of it."
It had been unexpected how quickly Sherilyn had landed an endorsement deal, and Blake had been too swamped to focus on it.
Sherilyn, however, didn't see the need for one, "It's okay, I don't really need one right now."
"How can you not?" Blake laughed in disbelief. Once things start picking up, you'll also need a makeup artist, stylist... I'll look into it, but if you have someone in mind, let me know."

"Okay, will do."
"Alright, I'm off then!"
"Take care, Blake."
"Ms. Gomez, please come this way... Let's get you into wardrobe."
"Sure thing."
After changing into the outfit, the production and brand teams were visibly pleased with how she looked.
"Ms. Gomez, let's go over the concept and flow of the shoot."
"No problem..."
After wrapping up the concept video and taking a short break before the next set of shots, Sherilyn found a quiet spot under a parasol. "Sherilyn!"
Someone tapped her shoulder, and
she turned to see Karol, beaming with excitement. "It is you! I knew I couldn't be wrong. What a
coincidence to see you here again."
"Indeed," Sherilyn replied after a moment, offering a polite smile. "Quite the coincidence."
"This is..."
Karol glanced at the studio. "I heard you took over Caroline's previous skincare endorsement. Are you shooting the campaign now?" "Yes, that's right." Sherilyn nodded.
"That's amazing!" Karol's envy was genuine. To land a luxury skincare endorsement right after your first show? You're making history in the industry!"
