Chapter 902
At the door, Sherilyn bumped into Francis, who was just returning.
"Big brother?" Sherilyn exclaimed in surprise. Why was he here?
"Sherilyn." Francis nodded with a smile. "I came to see Rebecca White for a bit. We're done talking, so I'll be leaving now."
"Oh, take care then."
"Mhm."
As soon as he left, Sherilyn immediately chased after Rebecca White, her expression full of curiosity. "What did big brother want with you?"
"Hmph." Rebecca White rolled her eyes. "Don't get any weird ideas. He was here about James..."
"I see."
After hearing Rebecca White's explanation, Sherilyn nodded. "So, you agreed?"
"Not yet." Rebecca White shook her head. "The offer was too good."
Sherilyn smiled, looping her arm through Rebecca White's as they walked inside. "What's wrong with a good offer? If you ask me, it's because you and James hit it off. Otherwise, no one else could snag such a deal." "Just think it over. If you really don't want to do it, we won't."
The next day, Sherilyn went to the studio as usual to discuss the script with the creative team.
Her role was second only to the lead, Michael, and they were the last to leave, almost at 8 PM.
Sherilyn had driven herself today, receiving a message from Gilbert in the morning saying he was swamped with work and might not be able to pick her up.
With her backpack slung over her shoulder, she took the elevator down to the parking garage.
The night made the garage exceptionally quiet.
Even in her soft-soled sneakers, she could hear her footsteps echo.
But then, she heard another set of footsteps.
At first, she didn't pay much attention.
However, she soon realized something was off.
If she sped up, so did the other person. If she slowed down, they matched her pace.
What was going on?
A jolt of fear ran through Sherilyn. Could it be... she was being followed?!
Her body tensed, a chill running down her spine as her breathing quickened.
Gripping her backpack, she tried to stifle her breath and started to jog.
The person behind her kept pace!
"Ah..."
Panting heavily, sweat trickled down the sides of her face.
What should she do? She was definitely being followed! She facing a creep! Sherilyn felt around in her backpack.
Her fingers found the hard edge of something she always carried a half-brick!
This habit had stuck with her for years.
After moving back to Sunhaven, it
was confiscated once at the police station, but she never gave habit.
Swn the
Having been in Sunhaven for almost a year, she never thought... today it would come in handy again!
Sherilyn's nerves were on edge, her bare face casting a pale glow under the light.
Suddenly, she darted behind a nearby pillar.
The footsteps behind her hastened, and then the person spoke.
"Huh? Where'd they go? They were right here a second ago..."
It was a man!
At that moment, Sherilyn's fear peaked, every hair standing on end.
"Where are they?"
The man muttered, still searching for her.
As the footsteps drew closer, he was about to find her!
Sherilyn closed her eyes briefly, then gripped the half-brick from her bag,
gfocused on the shadow at her
feet.
As the shadow turned towards her, she swung her arm fiercely, slamming the brick down!
Yelling at the top of her lungs, "Die, you freak! Die!"
"Ah!"
With a scream, the man fell to the ground.
Sherilyn opened her eyes to see it was indeed a man!
Without hesitating, she pounced, brick raised high, and continued to smash it down on him.
"Die! Just die!"
