Their Secret Obsession (A Reverse Harem) by Pippa Moon

Chapter 0278

Knox POV

"I've missed you." She admitted, her tone laced with truth, which had my heart soaring.

"Not as much as I've missed you," I said earnestly. There was a pause, the air thick with unspoken words. Then, without warning, she closed the gap between us, her lips finding mine. The kiss was electric, igniting every nerve ending. I wrapped my arms around her, pulling her gently against me, mindful of her belly.

"Finally." Havoc purred with satisfaction as we gave in to our need for each other, our tongues dancing together like they were made just for the other. We were perfect together, and that was all because of her. When we pulled apart, I rested my forehead against hers; the feeling of my skin against hers sent something unusual through my body, not quite the sparks I am used to when we are close but rather, a small, unexpected shock.

"What the fuck." I mused to Havoc, who sighed, feeling the distance, too.

"Maybe it is the pregnancy," He offered, clearly unsure and wanting to soothe his own fears as well as my own.

"You don't know how long I've wanted to do that," I whispered, dismissing my apprehensions and just being in the moment with her.

"Maybe I do." She smiled, her eyes shining. I brushed a strand of hair from her face.

"Why couldn't you sense me earlier?" I asked, unable to hide the curiosity and fear eating at me. Had she rejected me during my missing moments, her hesitation was not have helped my pounding heart.

"Because you smell like a badger's ass!" She snorted, her laughter contagious and forcing me to smile. "No, seriously, Stud, you stink; it's hard to sense you when you smell almost as bad as him." She admitted toeing the floor just in front of where Mike hung. "Hey, that's not nice." I laughed, lifting her chin to force her to look at me, only then spotting the pain behind her eyes. "Hey angel, what's wrong?" I asked, needing to know what was bothering her.

"It's complicated." She voiced, her eyes lowering to the ground, her fingers absentmindedly circling her bump. Did she have any idea how beautiful she was?

"How so? What do you mean?" I frowned, not sure I liked the sound of where this was going.

"There are... gaps in my memory, normal me knows why.. but when you are not here, that Lottie gets curious." She whispered like she was ashamed, and my heart sank as I realised what she was referring to; she smelt of Kane. She smelt of sex. And I should have guessed the second I saw her that my brother would have gotten in there first. But honestly, I didn't care. I was just glad to be here with her.

Although, if I was right, I would guess they were interrupted in their moment of 'fuckery', and her memories had been whipped, which must be confusing for her. I never had given much thought to how that would impact her mental state. I just knew it was destroying mine. "I don't remember everything. There are pieces missing, and we both know I will keep digging till I get answers. What about the Moon Goddess." she asked, shaking her head as her hands snaked around me again. "It sucks because being here with you... it feels right." She sighed again, her shoulders slumped.

"We'll figure it out together." I held her gaze, hoping to seem as confident as she needed me to be.

"I'd like that." She nodded, her mind drifting off.

"Come on," I said, offering her my hand. "Let's get out of this dungeon."

"What about him?" She glanced back at Mike.

"He can rot. But if you'd prefer, I can arrange for him to be moved somewhere... less hospitable." I shrugged, unbothered. She considered it, then shook her head. "No. Just leave him."

"Your wish is my command," I replied with a wink, taking her hand in one hand as my other landed on her back and guided her from this room of traitors and treachery.

As we made our way back upstairs, I couldn't help but steal glances at her. The way she moved, the sound of her laughter-it was all I could have hoped for and more. "So," she said as we reached the top of the stairs, "are you ever going to shower?"

"I was thinking of making this my new look." I grinned sheepishly.

"Maybe we can compromise." She wrinkled her nose playfully.

"Fine," I relented. "But only if you promise not to disappear on me again before I get out."

"Deal." She squeezed my hand.

"Good," Havoc chimed in. "Because if I have to endure another day without her, I might go feral." I laughed aloud, wanting to remind him that he was the definition of feral. "What is it?" she asked, amused, her eyes alight with excitement.

"Just Havoc being his usual charming self," I explained.

"Tell him I missed him too." She smiled knowingly.

"Tell her I love her more than you, asshat." He laughed, my lips twitching into a smile.

"He said cool." I lied, my eyes briefly locking on her beautiful face, just as Havoc pushed forward, seizing control of my body, his body stepping into Lottie; in two strides, he had her against the wall, rather gently for him. Her lips cocked into a smile as she watched him push forward.

"Havoc." She greeted him, and I could feel the insane love he held for her as I watched through red-tinned eyes. He lowered our head, our lips hovering over hers.

"I said, I love my kitty more than the

stinky fucker He grumbled playfully, pressing his.. or rather my lips to hers with molten need. He moved our tongue along the seam of her lips, pushing his way into her.

honeyed mouth, kissing her with all the pent-up passion he had been holding onto for months now.

"Much more." He purred as he pulled away from a panting and breathless Lottie just as my vision returned to normal, and I felt control ebb back to me. Pouting, I looked at my red-faced, wide-eyed girl and chuckled. "He heard," I assured her with a wink as I held my hand out to her.

"When did he learn to talk in full sentences." Her only response to the steamy kiss as she took my hand.

"Today apparently, not gonna lie...

Wish the fucker would stop already."

I grinned. As we walked through the

corridors, realised that the future felt brighter than it had been in a long time. There were still questions to be answered and challenges to face, Connie for one. But with Lottie by my side, I was ready for whatever came next.

"Welcome home, Angel," I said softly, my eyes filled with that shitty eye rain. I watched her tense and smiled weakly. "For now." I added, not wanting her to feel pressured.

"It's good to be back." She leaned into me. In that moment, everything felt right. I didn't know what tomorrow would bring, but for the first time in a long while, I looked forward to finding out.
