Chapter 5863
Meanwhile, Darryl realized Loona was the one who kicked him. Natalie was still unconscious, so it could not have been her.
He smiled bitterly. "That makes no sense at all. I had been unconscious the entire time. How could I possibly molest you? Furthermore, if I did not ask both of you to form the Portal Formation, we would never be able to escape. To put it another way, I saved you both. It makes no sense for you to kick me."
He was smiling, and there was no sign of anger on his face.
At that moment, Loona realized she had acted hastily. She lowered her head and said, "I'm sorry. I...I was too agitated."
As she was talking, she saw Darryl in the water with only his head above the water. "Hurry up and get out of the water."
Darryl sighed and pretended to look weak. "I've drained my power and can't move at all. I don't have any power to get out of the water."
He kept a close eye on Loona's reaction. Darryl was lying. He was weak, but not to the point of being unable to get out of the water. He just wanted to have fun and tease Loona for kicking him for no reason.
Loona dazed. "What should we do?"
"What should we do?" Darryl laughed bitterly, "You were the one who kicked me here. So come and pull me out. Oh my, the water is so cold."
He put on a complete show by pretending to feel cold and shivered.
"Okay." Loona did not know Darryl was just acting. She nodded and got on her feet to enter the stream. She planned to help Darryl get on his feet and bring him to shore. Before reaching Darryl, she accidentally stepped on a slippery stone. Her body shook, and she was about to fall.
Darryl quickly lent a helping hand to stabilize her. He said smilingly, "Why are you so clumsy?"
"You" Sensing Darryl's powerful grip, she realized she had been tricked. Darryl was not as powerless as he said. She felt ashamed and angry. "You b*stard! You trick me! You can get out of the water by yourself! Scram!"
She was ready to swing away from Darryl's hand and return to the land as soon as possible. Too bad she accidentally twisted her leg when she slipped off then. Without Darryl's support, she nearly fell into the water again. She could not help but hold Darryl's hand again to keep herself balanced.
Darryl could not help but laugh as he observed the situation. "Didn't you tell me to scram? Why are you still clinging to me?"
"I..." Loona felt ashamed and angry. "I twisted my leg."
Darryl was amused. "You twisted your leg, and you still want to be angry at me? Never mind. Come on; I'll bring you out of the water."
He hugged her by the waist and
brought her to the bank. Loona was highly uncomfortable being embraced by Darryl. However, she knew if Darryl did not help her, she could easily fall again because too many stones were in the stream. Despite that, she had a hard time accepting it, especially when there was no place for her to vent her anger.
"Darryl, you are a jerk. It's all your fault," she said.
"Hey, you are being unreasonable. You were the one who kicked me into the stream. Why are you blaming me now?" Darryl replied. "You are twisting my words!"
They quarreled back and forth as they made their way back to land. It was precisely at that moment that Natalie woke up. She looked to the front and was stunned. She O frowned.
Darryl was hugging Loona by the waist and making their way to the stream bank. They were in an ambiguous posture, and Loona's exquisite face was blushing. "Darryl..." Natalie regained her senses and asked Darryl, "What are you two doing?"
"Nothing..." Darryl smiled and replied. "Loona and I were feeling hot when we woke up. So we decided to jump into the stream to take a shower to cool off." He even winked at Loona. "Right?"
Loona's pretty face reddened. She quickly said, "Who wants to shower with you? Nonsense!"
By that time, they were already on the bank. Natalie pursed her lips and smiled. She could tell Darryl was talking nonsense and that he did not tell the truth.
