Chapter Billionaire With Husband 94

From the way Hugo spoke, it was clear that Kane's influence didn't carry much weight here. It seemed unlikely that Felix had any other tricks up his sleeve.

Meanwhile, Felix was standing in the front yard of his villa in Tabiner Bay, his face dark. He was staring at the group of a dozen people gathered just outside the gate. "Felix! Pay up!"

"You finally showed your face! Time to settle your father's debts. It's only right for the son to pay what the father owes."

"Damn! You disappeared for three years. Why didn't you just vanish forever?"

"Enough talking! Pay up already. I'm owed 600 grand. Start with mine!"

These people had shown up out of nowhere, flooding in all at once, and not even the security guards could stop them.

"What gives you the right to come and harass me?" Felix asked, his eyes narrowing in

anger.

Back when his parents ran their business, they never had significant debts. In fact, they gave money to charity every year. How could they possibly owe money to these people now? "Harass? Tell me. Isn't Matthew Zeller your father? And didn't he run Zeller Group?"

Felix wasn't going to deny it.

"Yes. My father was Matthew Zeller, who built Zeller Group from the ground up."

"Then, there you go! Zeller Group owes us money. If we don't demand you for it, who else are we going to ask? We're not leaving until you pay us up."

The crowd was getting louder, their shouts overlapping. If more people had lived in Tabiner Bay, this commotion would have been a spectacle-an embarrassment. But Felix didn't care about appearances. He just wasn't going to tolerate this nonsense. "In a few minutes, you'll be begging me to let you leave."

The dozen or so people scoffed, clearly unimpressed. Did Felix really think he could drive them away and make them beg him to let them go? Ridiculous!

What was he going to do- rely on that fancy villa behind him to scare them off? Who did he think he was fooling?

Just then, the roar of engines filled the air. The group turned instinctively to see what was happening. A dozen off-road vehicles pulled up, and out of them stepped dozens of men,

all holding weapons.

"You think hiring some thugs will scare us? Dream on, Felix! Call the cops now!" one of the men in the crowd shouted.

The leader of the group, a burly man, pulled out a large machete and grinned menacingly at the crowd.

"I'm Stinger. Here under Kane's command. You've got three seconds to kneel, or you're dead."

What? Kane? These guys might not have met him personally, but everyone knew who he was. And this man-Stinger-was rumored to be one of Kane's most trusted subordinates, a ruthless man who wouldn't hesitate to kill. Looking at the scene now, it was clear this was no joke.

In an instant, the entire group of debt collectors dropped to their knees, trembling, not a single one daring to remain standing.

Stinger stepped forward, stopping at the gate. He nodded respectfully at Felix. "Mr. Zeller, I apologize for arriving late. I didn't mean to let these lowlifes disturb you."

Mr. Zeller?

The debt collectors' eyes widened in disbelief. Kane's right-hand man was addressing Felix as Mr. Zeller. How was that possible?

"Mr. Zeller, want me to finish them off?" Stinger asked, his voice cold.

The men kneeling on the ground immediately started begging for their lives, all the bravado from earlier gone.

"Mr. Zeller, please have mercy!"

"We won't bother you again, we swear!"

Felix scanned the crowd, and they fell silent in an instant.

"Who sent you here to collect the debts?" he asked coldly.
