Wendy was already nervous. Although she had feelings for Felix, she was afraid to offend him too much. Now that Hugo had suddenly appeared, she quickly stood up.. "Hugo, what brings you here?"

Hugo regained his composure and forced a smile. "I heard you're dining here, so I came to have a look. Did I interrupt anything?"

Felix understood that there was more to his words, but he remained unbothered. After all, nothing was going on between him and Wendy. Even if there was something between them, Felix wasn't one to care about others' opinions. "Indeed, it's a bit inconvenient right now. I'm having a meal with my friend."

Damn it! Hugo wondered if Felix was trying to chase him away.

Though he still had a smile plastered on his face, his gaze toward Felix became icier. "I

shall not interrupt your meal, then. Since you and Wendy are so close, we'll have to keep in touch more often."

Hugo left the room before Felix could say anything. He had initially assumed that Felix and Wendy were just friends.

Yet, the scene he witnessed just now made him change his mind. The slight flush on Wendy's cheeks had said it all. Hugo felt that Felix was asking for trouble by competing with him for Wendy.

"Mr. Zeller, do you know Hugo?"

Felix swallowed a bite of steak and shook his head. "Not really. We've met each other a few times at the auction and party."

Wendy still looked apologetic after a moment of hesitation. "I'm sorry for troubling you again, Mr. Zeller."

Smiling, Felix replied, "What's wrong? Is Hugo considered trouble to you?"

He had sharp eyes-he could certainly detect that Hugo was after Wendy.

"No! That's not what I meant. I know the Lamberts aren't as powerful as us, but I heard his grandfather has strong connections. I'll clarify things with him and make sure he doesn't bother you." Felix couldn't control what Wendy wanted to do. If she could convince Hugo, it would be

After finishing his meal, Felix was about to get into his car when Kane called. "Mr. Zeller, that woman called Sasha came to my clinic, mumbling about seeing you."

Felix had blocked Sasha's WhatsApp and added her number to his blacklist. There was no need for putting on an act since Warren had cut ties with him.

Who knew that Sasha was such a stubborn woman? She had even appeared at Kane's clinic

At 2:00 am, a figure mysteriously appeared in the backyard of Felix's villa in Tabiner Bay, amid the nighttime silence.

A voice came from behind the figure before it could make any more moves. "So you've turned up, Inferno."

Inferno turned around. Under the light, his face etched with scars was revealed.

"Xena Summers? The goddess of war?"
