The Man in Power After Being Married into Her Family

Christian hurriedly pointed at Quinn and told Keith, "Dad, this is Miss Golding. My sister wanted Charlie to marry her. Do you remember?"

Holly quickly added beside them, "Keith, do you remember what I told you before? In the past, Ashley told me that Curtis's good friend gave birth to a daughter. She was a little younger than Charlie. Soon, the two families agreed to have an arranged marriage for the

children."

Keith nodded, "I remember... I remember..."

Then, he said with a puzzled look on his face, "But... But Charlie is only eight years old... He... How can he have such an older fiancee..."

Everyone's expression turned sad upon hearing that. They had thought that the magic pill might have cured his Alzheimer's disease as well.

However, as soon as Keith had stated that Charlie was still eight years old, they realized that his memory was still from the time when his eldest daughter, Ashley, had died.

Christian choked as he said, "Dad, don't you realize that Mom and everyone else here look older?"

Keith finally realized this strange fact, and he blurted out in a panic, "You guys... What happened?! Holly, Christian, Kaeden... Why do you all look so much older?"

Then, he involuntarily turned to Jaxon and Lulu and said fearfully, "T-They are..."

Christian held back his tears and pulled

Jaxson and Lulu in front of him as he introduced, "Dad, this is Jaxon, and this is Lulu. They have all grown up... They aren't teenagers anymore!"

Keith muttered with a puzzled face, "This... What is happening?"

Christian hurriedly said, "Dad! This is not twenty years ago anymore... My sister and brother-in-law have been gone for twenty years, and Charlie has been missing for twenty years too..."

Keith asked in disbelief, "What did you say?! Ashley has been gone for twenty years?!"

"That's right..." Christian pointed at his own face and said, "Dad, I'm already fifty years old this year..."

Keith was stunned for a moment before he became furious, and he growled, "A bunch of rubbish! It has been twenty years, so why haven't you found Charlie?! How can I answer Ashley after I die? How?!" Everyone sank into a deep silence, and no one knew how to answer Keith's question.

Finally, it was Holly who cried and explained, "Keith, everyone has been searching for Charlie for all these years. Christian, Kaeden, Jaxon, and Lulu have been searching for him, and even you were searching for him! However, none of us were ever able to find Charlie..."

Keith's expression became pained, and he covered his face in agony as he uttered," It's all my fault... It's all my fault!"

Holly hurriedly stroked his hand and spoke while sobbing, "Keith, you have been blaming yourself for twenty years. You almost died and came back to life, so please stop torturing yourself. What has happened in the past isn't all your responsibility...

Keith softly shook his head. Then, he suddenly thought of something and turned to Quinn in excitement, struggling as he tried to get up.

He asked thoughtlessly, "Young lady! Y-You said you were Charlie's fiancee! In that case... Have you found Charlie?!"

Quinn saw that the old man had just

come back to life and was very concerned about Charlie's

whereabouts, and truth be told, she could not bear to lie to him about Charlie. However, she remembered Charlie's instructions, and she found herself unable to speak the truth.

She replied helplessly, "Grandpa, I'm so sorry... We still haven't found Charlie yet..." Hearing that, the light in Keith's eyes dimmed a little.
