Chapter 2069
The following days were uneventful, and it was soon time to leave.
Whitney went all out to prepare Frank's departure, with blankets, clothes, and everything else he would need.
She also reminded him diligently, "Mr. Frankton, the city is different from our village. There are all sorts of villains-you have to be careful!"
Jason was unsure if he should laugh or cry. "Don't worry, Whitney. I'm doing fine in the city-I'd never allow Mr. Frankton to be bullied! You, on the other hand... don't be so sad that he's leaving!"
Whitney rolled her eyes at him, and he threw his hands up. "Just kidding. No offense!"
Still, his tone soon became serious. "I'm counting on you to help my dad, though. I've already hired contractors to renovate the house, so please keep an eye out."
Whitney nodded. "Don't worry-I'm the village chief here, and I'll have both eyes on your old man. You're the one who shouldn't bother your old man too much when you're out in the big city. He's old now-quit making him worry about you!" "Don't worry!" Jason smiled and walked up to Miles. "Dad, I'm leaving now. Take good care of yourself!"
The old man appeared wistful. "You said you weren't leaving again..."
"Can't help it." Jason sighed. "There's plenty of work to be done, but don't worry-I'm a better man now! When the time is right, I'll definitely settle down and get married, so that you'll have a fat grandson to carry around!"
Miles snorted. "Just be careful in the city, and take good care of Mr. Frankton!"
"Sure thing! Don't worry already!"
As Frank and the others got in the car after that, Jason breathed an exasperated sigh. "There are times when I realize I'm a douchebag for the stuff I did to my dad when I was younger." "People tend to make mistakes when they're young," Frank assured him. "It's never too late to come around and use your future to do right by your old man."
Jason smiled and nodded.

Soon, they arrived in the nearest city and in front of a towering office building in the business district.
"That's where I work," Jason pointed at it and said. "I'm sorry, but you shouldn't expect too much. It's really no major company."
Frank was unsure if he should laugh or cry-it looked like humblebragging either way!
"Well, but this is a good spot... It just doesn't look like the heart of the business district!" Jason's tone changed as he bragged in another way. Frank simply looked on quietly without interrupting.
The five of them headed upstairs, reaching the top floor soon enough.
As soon as they stepped out the elevator, Frank saw the giant shield that read Gold Phoenix Securities!
There was even a sculpture of a phoenix reborn from the ashes on the board, and Frank nodded. "So you're working in the security business."
"That's right!" Jason snapped his fingers. "You know that I used to be

a thug myself, and I had nothing going forme other than my fists. After I came to the city, I gathered a group of others like myself and started this company, and thanks to my benefactor, we quickly achieved success."
Frank nodded. "That's great!"
"So, what position would you like?" Jason asked, quickly jumping to matters. "I need a PR manager, but you can be my assistant if you'd rather take it easy, since you won't have much work to do."
But that would be boring, and Frank would not be able to access company secrets.
"I'll be your PR manager instead," Frank said. "I've audited some lessons in university, so I should be able to handle the job."
Jason nodded, and as he led the
way to the PR department, he said, "It's not a problem if you have trouble since we're really no major company. And don't push yourself too hard either, since we'd definitely be fine!"
As soon as they stepped inside, they quickly saw several ladies dressed prettily, sitting around and gossiping. Still, they promptly flocked around Jason as soon they saw him.
