Chapter 320
Chapter 320
Ava recognized Madison.
Madison had been showing up a lot online recently. Ava herself had also watched Madison's livestreams before, so she knew that Madison's divinations were
accurate.
She bit her lip before turning toward Billy Quill with an aggrieved expression on her face.
"Do you believe me or a random female streamer online, dearest?
"I was but an innocent woman who decided to follow after you. I accepted your marriage proposal before I graduated from university and even promised you that I'd marry you if the baby turned out to be a boy after it was born! "Which chaste maiden would choose to follow you like I did!
"Sure, I was in it for the money. But it's not like I didn't have other young, handsome, and wealthy men courting me.
"I chose you over all of them, dearest! And yet you're actually doubting me."
Billy's heart softened upon seeing her crying.
"Alright, alright! Don't cry anymore! Of course, I believe you!"
If Ava really was coveting his money, then she had plenty of better options considering her youth! If the baby she was carrying wasn't his, then why would she agree to marry him after it was born?
It had to be because she knew who the father was!
Once Billy processed this, he immediately turned to shoot Madison a fierce look.
"Here I thought your divinations were accurate, but to think that you were actually spouting nonsense! Do you know who I am? Do you believe that one word from me is enough to ruin you?" Madison glanced at Ava, who was curled up in Billy's embrace, and sighed softly.
"Do you think it's worth doing this?"
Billy was still yelling abuse at Madison, but Ava's expression changed at Madison's words.
Madison continued, ignoring Billy's furious cursing, "He has no say in his family and has no access to anything important in his household. Even if you marry him in the end, you won't get anything out of it." Ava's expression twisted.
Upon processing Madison's words, Billy stopped and lowered his head to look at Ava, then looked back up at Madison.
"What are you talking about?"
Madison lifted her gaze to look at him and said, "Your family is well-off because your parents and grandparents all work for a government agency. Your three sisters and brother-in-law as well, am I right?" Billy scoffed. "What, your divinations have become accurate now? Did you get scared?"
He continued smugly, "And what do you mean she won't get anything from marrying me? What do you mean I don't have access to anything important? Do you know how much inheritance my grandpa left me when he passed?" He sketched out a number with a finger. "A nine-digit sum!"
"There's also my parents' real estate assets," he said with a sneer. "My family owns properties in every major city as well as overseas. Cars, too... It's money you peasants can't even begin to imagine, much less set eyes on in your lifetime!" Madison asked indifferently, "Is all that what was left to you by your parents and grandparents?"
"Of course! Even if me, my wife, and our children never get a job, we'd be set for life-several lifetimes, in fact!"
Madison nodded and asked no more.
Instead, she addressed Ava, "An investigation will be carried out into what he and his family do. You shouldn't let yourself go down with them."
Ava straightened slowly, her eyes red. "His family is very powerful."
"The livestream is already being broadcast all over the internet. There'll be people looking into it. No matter how powerful a person is, they won't be exempt from investigation." Ava fell silent.
Billy looked from Madison to Ava. "What are you two talking about?"
Ava shoved Billy away forcefully, then grabbed his phone and ran out of the room.
behind the murder!"
"I have evidence that Billy Quill committed murder!" she shouted into the phone while running. "The Quills used their family connections to cover up the truth
She ran incredibly fast, making a beeline for the elevator and hitting the button for the ground floor.
The elevator doors closed slowly.
Billy chased after her but could only watch helplessly as the elevator doors shut in his face.
"Just you wait, you bitch. I'm going to kill you."
