THE DEVIL HERSELF

Chapter 14

"Ma, it's time to go back," Scarlet said, her voice laced with a hint of urgency as she glanced at her watch. Mia felt a nagging sense of unease, but she pushed it aside, focusing on the documents in front of her.

"Just let me sign this last one," Mia said, her hand reaching for the pen. Scarlet's smirk grew wider as she watched Mia sign away her life's work, unaware of the deceit that had just unfolded.

In a flashback, Scarlet was seen sneaking into the office earlier that day, her eyes scanning the room for the perfect moment to strike. She spotted the documents on the desk and quickly switched one of them with a property transfer document, her heart racing with excitement.

As Mia signed the documents, she unknowingly transferred her company's ownership to an unknown entity, a fact that Scarlet was all too aware of. Mia stood up, none the wiser, and began walking away, Scarlet following closely behind her. "Let's get going, Ma," Scarlet said, her voice dripping with sweetness. "We have a long journey ahead of us." Mia nodded, still oblivious to the danger that lurked beside her.

As they walked out of the office building, Scarlet's men emerged from the shadows, their faces hidden behind masks. They surrounded Mia, their movements swift and calculated. "Time to go, Ma," Scarlet said, her eyes gleaming with malice as she pulled out a syringe. Mia's eyes widened in terror as Scarlet injected her with a sedative, her world going dark. When Mia came to, she was on Scarlet's private jet, soaring through the skies towards Italy. Scarlet sat across from her, a triumphant smile spreading across her face.

"Welcome to your new life, Ma," Scarlet said, her voice dripping with venom. "You'll be staying with me for a while, until you learn to obey."

Mia's eyes narrowed, her mind racing with thoughts of escape and revenge. She knew she had to play smart if she wanted to survive Scarlet's twisted game.

"You'll never get away with this," Mia spat, her voice laced with defiance.

Scarlet chuckled, her eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, but I already have, Ma. And soon, you'll be nothing but a distant memory."

The jet soared through the skies, carrying Mia towards a fate she could hardly imagine. But one thing was certain - she would fight tooth and nail to reclaim her life and bring Scarlet to justice.

As the jet soared through the skies, Mia's mind raced with the shocking realization. The fake family background, the bodyguard charade - it was all part of Scarlet's sinister plan. She had been played, and now she was at the mercy of her captor. Mia's thoughts were interrupted by the feeling of a needle piercing her skin, and she felt herself becoming drowsy once again. She tried to fight it, but it was no use. As she fell asleep, she caught a glimpse of Scarlet's wicked smile, and it sent chills down her spine.

The plane had landed on the rooftop of the Clan's building, and Mia had been carried in, sedated but conscious and helpless. Now, she was at the mercy of Scarlet and her henchmen. Scarlet's henchmen moved forward, their faces twisted with cruel intent. Mia knew she was in for a fate worse than death, and she steeled herself for the torture that was to come.

The room was a torture chamber, equipped with all manner of cruel devices. Mia's heart raced as Scarlet's henchmen began to tie her down, preparing her for the agony that was to come.

When Mia came to, she found herself in a dimly lit room, her head pounding and her body aching. She was tied to a chair, unable to move. The room was sparse, with stone walls and a cold, concrete floor. A single light bulb hung from the ceiling, casting eerie shadows on the walls.

Scarlet stood before her, a cruel glint in her eye. "Welcome to your new home, Mia," she said, her voice dripping with malice. "You'll be staying here... until you're no longer needed."

Mia struggled against her restraints, but they were too tight. She was trapped, at the mercy of her tormentor.

"You're a clever one, Scarlet," Mia spat, her voice laced with venom. "But you'll never get away with this."

Scarlet chuckled, her eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, but I already have, Mia. And soon, you'll be nothing but a distant memory."

"You should have stayed out of this, Mia," Scarlet said, her voice cold and detached. "Now, you'll pay the price for your meddling."

As the henchmen tightened the restraints, Mia knew she was sealed to her fate. Death was coming, and there was nothing she could do to stop it.

Scarlet walked out of the torture chamber, leaving Mia to her fate. She made her way to the training center, her long strides eating up the distance. As she entered, the room fell silent, all eyes on her even Lord Smith, Dracula, looked up from there seat, a hint of surprise on his face.

"Welcome back!" Dracula said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. Scarlet nodded curtly, not even acknowledging him with a greeting.

"Smith, I want to see you in your chamber," she said, her voice firm and commanding.

Smith raised an eyebrow, his expression cold. "You can't even greet me again, and you call me by my name? Wow, so much guts. I can see you've become the devil on earth."

Scarlet ignored him, walking out of the center without a backward glance. Smith followed her, his curiosity piqued. What did she want from him?

The other members of the Clan looked on in shock, whispering among themselves. They knew Scarlet didn't have much regard for anyone, but this was taking it too far. Only Diego seemed unsurprised, his eyes fixed on Scarlet with an intensity that made Smith's skin crawl.

As they entered Smith's chamber, Scarlet turned to face him, her eyes blazing with determination. "I know what you did, Smith," she said, her voice low and deadly. "I know you're behind the betrayal."

Smith smirked, his fangs glinting in the light. "And what if I am?" he said, his voice dripping with arrogance.

Scarlet's smile was cold and calculated. "Then you'll pay the price, Smith. You'll pay dearly."

The air was thick with tension as the two enemies faced off, their hatred and anger palpable. Smith knew he had underestimated Scarlet, and now he was going to pay the price.

"You're a fool, Scarlet," he sneered. "You think you can take me down?"

Scarlet's laughter was like ice. "I don't think, Smith. I know. And soon, you'll be nothing but a memory."

The room was silent, the only sound the heavy breathing of the two combatants. The battle lines were drawn, and only one would emerge victorious.

"Your time is very limited, because when I tell them the truth about you. You will down the next minute, they won't take it lightly with you and from now stay away from me cause I might kill you before your time" she growled angrily, as she walked out from the room. Smith gritted his teeth angry,

"Don't make me repeat what I did years Scarlet, don't force me" he spat angrily.
