Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 961

Cedillo Inc., CEO's Office.

Andre looked at the little rascal in front of him, slamming his hand on the desk. The noise startled Henry, who immediately burst into tears, his pouty little mouth trembling as he threw himself into his father's arms, sobbing.

"The boss, Ms. Anya is here," the secretary announced after a knock on the door.

Andre glanced at his crying child and asked, "Is she alone?"

"Yes."

Andre nodded, and the secretary exited. Shortly after, Anya appeared in Andre's office.

"Uncle, uncle," Anya said, feeling a wave of guilt wash over her. She had been the one to ruin the Cedillo family's celebration party, and ever since, she had been nervous about meeting her uncle by herself.

Henry, halfway through his tears, scrambled onto his dad's executive chair, nibbling as he climbed. Standing on his dad's belt, which stretched across the waist of the chair, he used the edge of the belt to prop himself up, plotting his next act of mischief. Suddenly, a familiar voice made Henry turn his head, recognizing a friend.

His little hands clapped together excitedly, eager to play with Anya.

Andre, holding his son's hand to keep him still, asked, "What brings you here?"

Anya replied, "Uncle, I've gotten Chad into some trouble."

Hearing his nephew's name, Andre's heart skipped a beat, and he unconsciously tightened his grip on his son.

Henry, feeling uncomfortable, started to whimper and fuss.

Anya explained the recent events in detail to Andre.

"Uncle, will they press charges against Chad?" Anya asked worriedly. "They started it."

Andre's grip loosened, and Henry turned around, laying on the desk, decisively closing his dad's laptop with a slap.

Andre took a deep breath - his son, understanding nothing! Now he's just a baby; he'll deal with him when he's a toddler!

"When is he resigning?" Andre asked.

Before Anya could reply, her phone rang.

Henry, following the ringtone, also looked at Anya's phone.

"Uncle, it's Chad."

Andre nodded.

Anya took a deep breath, answering the phone casually on speaker, "Hello, Chad."

"Anya, I had my phone on silent because I was running some errands. Did you call me for something?" Leo, sitting in his car and seeing the missed call, hurriedly called back.

Anya shook her head, "No, nothing. Oh, Chad, when are you resigning?"

"I submitted my resignation today. I'll wrap up the paperwork tomorrow and bring my things back."

After Leo finished, Henry began to make his presence known with his babbling.

"Hey, why do I hear a little chub on your end?" Leo's tone was as casual as ever, always burying his emotions deep, pretending as if nothing had happened.

Hearing the little bundle's voice, "Oh, you're at home, right? This little chub, calling for his dad at home, don't you see how close father and son are now? Just you wait, when Henry grows tall enough to reach the door handle, my uncle will definitely be disciplining him." Anya silently worried for her boyfriend, quietly turning off the speaker and putting the phone to her ear, "Chad, maybe tone it down a bit."

Henry, looking at his stoic dad, drooled from his little mouth. Andre, expressionless, doted on him tirelessly!

After hanging up with Leo, Anya became even more cautious.

Andre watched his son and said, "Hold him."

"Huh?"

Andre repeated, "You'll be looking after Henry for the next few days."

The little tiger cub, puzzled, looked at his dad, wondering why he was being pushed away again.

Anya realized, "Oh, I have plans with Chad tomorrow... Oh, I understand now, uncle!" She brightened up, happily lifting Henry into her arms and excitedly spinning around. "Don't worry about work, uncle. I'll take good care of the baby." Henry was confused, his little head spinning from Anya's twirling.

Andre's lips curved into a faint smile.

The next day, Anya, holding Henry, accompanied Leo to his workplace.

This was Anya's first time showing up openly. Vincent, upset about not seeing Anya the night before, had discharged himself from the hospital early in the morning. Hearing that Leo was coming to

resign today, he showed up to cause trouble.

Paige and Lee also naturally appeared at the company, watching the man packing his documents into boxes. "Leo, don't be foolish."

Anya, holding the baby, was not afraid, even slightly excited, "Chad, the baby and I are here to pick you up."

Little dumpling, in a new place, looked around, clearly unimpressed compared to his dad's company.

Leo, pointing at the chubby baby, was shocked, "How did you bring him out?"

Henry, waving his little hands, babbled, "...uhh."

Leo, pausing his packing, reached out to hug his pudgy little brother. "Buddy, did Anya bring you out without telling anyone?"

"Uh-huh." He spotted his brother's cardboard box, curious to dive in.

Anya occasionally glanced at the door, seemingly waiting for someone.

Lee tried to calm Leo down, while everyone was distracted by Henry's cuteness. Only Paige pulled Anya aside, "Did you ignore my words

from yesterday? My dad is in his net

office right now. Just go in and

apologize, and Leo won't have to leave."

The elevator doors opened, and a man in a sharp suit stepped out. His features were stern, his brows furrowed with a brooding air, clearly in a bad mood. Yet, his presence made everyone around stop in their tracks, disbelieving at the sight of him.

"Uncle." Anya's eyes smiled brightly.

Paige, with her back to Andre, did not see him approaching.

When she turned around and saw Andre, she was too shocked to speak.

"Henry." Andre called out to the little darling in the crowd.

"Ooh." Henry, sitting in his brother's box, had no intention of leaving.

"Andre, Andre!" Lee stuttered out.

Leo and his uncle locked eyes, Andre glancing at his nephew before lifting his son from the box, "Following your Anya around for fun again!" Henry pouted, "Babble."

"Still knows I'm your dad." Andre held his son close.

Leo looked down, his aura instantly overshadowed by his uncle. It seemed, no matter what, he could never surpass his uncle.

Anya ran excitedly to Andre's side, "Uncle, Chad is leaving his job today, and I've brought the baby to pick up Chad."

While Vincent was still in his office concocting devious plans against Leo, the door suddenly swung open. Lee burst in, his face a mask of horror, "Boss, Andre's here." "Who?"

"Andre, Andre Rivers."

Vincent hurried out, only to be confronted by the man he could never hope to equal, holding his son in one arm.

Beside him stood a young girl, "Uncle, are you here to pick up Chad as well?"

Everyone looked between Leo and Andre, noticing the striking similarity in their faces, as if a secret was slowly being unveiled.
