Chapter 3635 Return To Earth
Suddenly, Nathan lifted his head, meeting Eve's gaze without any warning.
Shocked, Eve quickly lowered her head.
Nathan glanced at her and asked calmly, "What's the matter?"
Eve gritted her teeth. "Master, has the God King ignited your wrath? Are you considering launching an attack on the Divine Realm?"
Nathan opted not to provide a direct response. Instead, he adopted a nonchalant tone as he stated, "Within the ranks of the Gods, there exists a faction of warmongers perpetually harboring thoughts of revenge and Earth's destruction. If you were an earthling, what course of action would you believe to be the most prudent? Passively await impending doom?"
Eve blurted out, "Not all gods are warmongers. It's just that there's a group of fanatics who love war, and the fact that the God King leans toward the war faction—"
Nathan's tone turned icy as he declared, "I've issued repeated warnings to the Divine Realm in the past, but Medille's insatiable avarice knows no bounds. We can't remain on perpetual alert, for even the most vigilant can falter. If I were to assume command of Earth's forces and initiate an offensive against the Divine Realm, it would be a direct consequence of their own actions."
Eve's face turned pale.
Nathan cast a reassuring glance in Eve's direction as he spoke earnestly. "Rest assured, Eve. If I do embark on an assault against the Divine Realm, it will be solely to eradicate those warmongers and safeguard Earth from their menace. I won't harm those who yearn for peace. In fact, I hope that individuals like you, who abhor war and champion peace, can stand with me in toppling the tyrant of the Divine Realm."
Eve's complexion shifted once again, her eyes filled with indecision.
If it were in the past, she would never have helped an enemy invade the Divine Realm.
However, after her father's death, her mindset had changed.
She blamed the death of her father on Medille.
Indeed, it was Medille, the warmonger, who not only ignored her father's advice to retreat but also caused her father's death.
Upon hearing Nathan attribute the root cause of the conflict between the Divine Realm and Earth to Medille, she couldn't help but resonate deeply with his assessment.
Yet, despite her agreement, she remained unable to muster the resolve to support Nathan in his quest to assail the Divine Realm.
Nathan maintained his composure
and addressed Eve in a composed manner, "Eve, if I'm not mistaken, you're the daughter of Grand Admiral Gulliver of the Gods, aren't you? I implore you to consider this matter thoroughly. True peace can only be restored to the Divine Realm and Earth by eradicating the source of turmoil, Medille. Should you choose to aid me, I will stand by your side in your pursuit of leadership within the Divine Realm. In that capacity, you will have the ability to effect substantial change for the Gods."
Eve's expression changed once again.
Nathan paused for a moment, then added, "And even if you refuse to cooperate with me, I will still attack
the Divine Realm. You can't stop- that. Take some time to consider whether you want to collaborate with me, and get back to me with your answer."
After an arduous journey spanning more than a month, the Beacon of Dawn Light, bearing the God's Punisher Spaceship, finally made its triumphant return to Earth. It
touched down at the Earth Alliance Headquarters Base located in the
southern region of Eurasia.
Heads of states, War Gods representing various nations, and a multitude of international television reporters had gathered, patiently awaiting this momentous arrival.
The moment Nathan stepped off the spaceship, the scene erupted with deafening cheers.
The Beacon of Dawn had not only triumphantly passed its flight test but had also returned with a new spacecraft that boasted even greater advancements.
Among those who approached to extend their congratulations to Nathan were notable figures such as Bryon, the President of Ariarica; Gammon, the President of Remdik; and the vampire queen, Hepburn.
That very day, as the commander-in-chief of the Earth Alliance, Nathan ordered the continuation of repairs on God's Punisher Spaceship.
Marcus and Eve were still in charge.
In the afternoon, after entertaining a group of important foreign guests, Nathan finally found some free time to sit down and have a conversation with Hepburn.
Inside Nathan's office, Colin brought in two cups of coffee, then promptly left.
Only Nathan and Hepburn were left.
Hepburn said with a smile, "Congratulations, Mr. Cross. Not only was Beacon of Dawn's test successful, but you also acquired a new spaceship." Nathan replied cheerfully, "Both I and Earth got lucky."
