Chapter PERFET 266
Chapter 266
"Oh, don't get me wrong. I just wanted to see what kind of nerve it takes to show up here. You were accused of causing a student's death, basically a murderer. You're here to win Mr. Russell back, aren't you?" one girl said.
Someone clicked their tongue twice, "What a pity! You must understand, Mr. Russell doesn't go for your type. You should open your eyes and look at the woman by his side. That perfect lady is his childhood sweetheart, his true love. I advise you to stop fantasizing. A murderer like you would be scorned by everyone if you step out. If I were you, I'd slink away now to avoid further embarrassment."
"Yeah! You might as well scram now unless you want to feel miserable seeing Ms. White with Mr. Russell."
Yasmine set her glass down, the table making a dull thud. She spoke, "So, you're not me." She glanced at the person, her voice cold, "I can guess your personality just by your tone-cold, sharp, arrogant, but cowardly when faced with strength. I'm curious. Who sent you here to boss me around? The Sanchez family indeed doesn't match up to the Russell family, but that doesn't mean you can push us around so easily, does it? If I were you, I'd bow my head and leave right away. Otherwise, if I find out whose family you're from, it might spell trouble for you"
"You!" The woman angrily pointed at Yasmine but soon lowered her head, realizing Yasmine was right. Morgan is not easy to deal with. She was only there because of Irene's orders, but she knew if things went south, Irene might not save her. "Yasmine, I'm warning you, don't get too pleased with yourself. We may not be able to deal with you, but don't forget who your real enemies are. Ants can't shake a big tree, and eggs can't crack rocks. Consider this advice so you won't fall too hard in the future. Let's go!" the woman said.
After this kind of woman left, Yasmine had a frown on her face. She knew even before she attended the party that something like this would happen, just not so soon.
Not long after, a man suddenly walked up to Yasmine, with a smile that made her skin crawl. "Ms. Sanchez, right?"
He eyed Yasmine up and down with malicious intent. "I never would have guessed that after marrying Xavier and then moving on to Yonas, you'd still keep such a great figure."
"Get lost!" Yasmine almost tossed her glass of red wine at the man.
"Oh, you do have quite the temper, but what good is it? In the end, you can't keep a man. Xavier left, Yonas followed. See, the men you like eventually choose their first loves. Instead of feeling sorry for yourself, why not come with me?" he said.
He sat down next to Yasmine, trying to drape his arm around her. "So, what's it gonna be? Anyway, you have to choose someone, right? Might as well be me. Everyone in Soucrity knows about the trouble your Sanchez family has been through lately. But that's what happens when you cross the White family. If you serve me well, maybe I..."
"Get lost!" Yasmine snapped, picking up the glass of red wine in front of her and splashing it right in the man's face.
He choked on his unfinished words, staring at Yasmine in disbelief. "You damn well dare pour wine on me!" Luckily, they were tucked away in a corner, so no one else witnessed the ridiculous scene.
The man's face turned bright red, as if stained by the wine. To flaunt his unique taste, he had worn a white suit, which was now blotched with red, spreading like blooming flowers.
"So what if I did? I just wanted to wash away your filth. Now, please leave," Yasmine said firmly.
"You son of a...!" The man raised his hand in anger, ready to strike. Yasmine barely had time to close her eyes, expecting the inevitable pain. But instead, she heard the man's shrill scream, "Let go of me! Who the hell are you?!"
Yasmine opened her eyes to see Xavier gripping the man's arm tightly, twisting it forcefully. The man's arm was bent at a painful angle, like a twisted dough.

Chapter 266
"Since when did the Fletcher family have the nerve to boast like his? In a couple of days, I'll ask your dad personally. For now, get lost," Xavier said coldly.
The guy from the Fletcher family probably didn't expect that Xavier would know his dad, so he chickened out and slinked
away.
Xavier looked at Yasmine with concern, "Are you okay?"
Yasmine's expression remained cold and distant, "I'm fine."
"Don't pretend to be strong. I know what happened to Morgan. I can help you guys," Xavier offered.
"No need!" she replied with a cold face.
Xavier looked at Yasmine, who appeared as aloof as a flower on a high cliff, and it struck a chord in his heart. Clearly struggling, but still pretending to be tough-it was almost...cute. "Yasmine, there's no need to be so stubborn and strong- headed. I know you guys need help. Coincidentally, there's a batch of unused wine in the Flynn residence's warehouse. How about I have it sent over after the wine-tasting event? At least it can help you get through for a while."
Xavier paused, glanced at Yonas in the distance, and continued, "Otherwise, with the White family's tactics, I'm afraid even if you come up here, you won't find a wine supplier. Besides, Yonas is almost about to get engaged to Irene, so he's even less likely to care about the Sanchez family."
Xavier's words pierced Yasmine's heart, "Xavier! Do you think you're any better than the rest? Wasn't it your wife and sister who hurt me all those times? You're worse just for watching. Don't act like you're doing this for my sake. I don't need it, I don't need your pity or sympathy."
Xavier felt a stab of pain deep inside as he watched Yasmine, who was as guarded as a hedgehog. "Don't be like this, Yasmine
"Don't call me Yasmine! Xavier, do I need to remind you again what kind of relationship we have?" Yasmine's voice was sharp and filled with undeniable disdain.
"I'm just trying to help you," Xavier said.
"Xavier, stop pretending. I don't need your help. What are you trying to do now? Realized I'm better after the divorce, so you want to chase me? Why else are you suddenly acting so considerate? Don't forget, your wife is in prison waiting to have your child. Stop talking to me." Yasmine's tone was serious and firm.
To get away from Xavier's pestering, she even left the area. She had just settled into a corner when she noticed people around started whispering about her. With a sigh, she picked up a glass of wine. No matter where she went, she'd face the same gossip.
