My Heart only Beats for You (Natalie Godfrey)

Chapter 2411

"It's fine," Tremaine said.

Rorita was stunned.

She thought that Tremaine did not like the bread, who knew that... Rorita smiled and said, "Okay, I won't tell the housekeeper then."

After breakfast, Tremaine did not go to the office as he usually did.

He went to visit Madam Quartley after that.

That was because every morning, Zorion's son would be brought to Madam Quartley's place.

Madam Quartley wanted to play with her great-grandson.

When he reached her place, Tremaine saw the child holding a piece of bread in the shape of a small fish and he was giggling.

Madam Quartley seemed to look calm too.

Upon seeing Tremaine's arrival, Madam Quartley said, "Tremaine, come quickly. The child is finally smiling. He has been crying for so many days. Today, he finally smiled. I am so relieved." Tremaine did not answer at first. He focused his gaze on the fish shaped bread in the child's hand. After some time, he said, "He seems to like the bread a lot."

"That's right," Madam Quartley said without hesitation, "This bread is quite unique. It is popular with children."

At first, Madam Quartley thought that the bread was strange. Now, after seeing how much Zorion's son liked it, she changed her mind.

"He likes it a lot," Tremaine repeated.

No one could tell whether that was a question or a statement.

"That's right," Madam Quartley said, "At first, the child was crying badly. However, after seeing the bread, he stopped crying. It seems like he finds it interesting." Tremaine did not speak anymore.

After staring at the child for a few more moments, Tremaine said, "Since he likes it, let them send it each day to him. When he's ready to eat solids, maybe he can have some of it."

"Of course," Madam Quartley said, "But I am afraid that he will get tired of it after looking at it for a long time. Then, he wouldn't want to it either."

"No, he won't," Tremaine replied.

"He will," Madam Quartley said, "He

loses interest fast at this age. One second, his interest will peak at these, the next second he wouldn't want it anymore."

Tremaine did not argue with her. He said goodbye and left.

After half an hour, Tremaine arrived at the office.

Sheldon came to report work as usual.

After the report was done, Sheldon was about to leave when he heard Tremaine said, "Sheldon, let's have a chat before you leave." Sheldon fell speechless.

He was a little shocked.

Mr. Tremaine has always been a cold and quiet person, why would he want to chat all of a sudden?

"Yes, Mr. Tremaine," Sheldon said at once.

Tremaine stood up and walked

towards the window. Slowly, he said,

"Sheldon, it seems that the

relationship between a mother and a

son can't be severed no matter

what."

Sheldon was at a loss for words

He did not understand what Tremaine meant by that, nor did he know how to continue Tremaine's sentence.

Then, Tremaine told him that Zorion's child stopped crying after seeing the bread in the morning. He asked, "Do you know who made the bread?" Of course he knew.

He braced himself and said, "It must be made by one of Miss Cowell's staff."

"I think Ruth made it," Tremaine said in a low voice.

Sheldon was shocked.

"Some connections can't be severed no matter how hard one tries. Even if they are separated, they will still be conneeted in one way or another," Tremaine continued to murmur.

Just like Ruth and her child.

Quartley Palace may have taken the child away, but Ruth's bread still appeared in her child's hands.

It was just like him and Yesseca.

Even though they have parted ways, Yesseca was still sending desserts over to Quartley Palace.
