My Heart only Beats for You (Natalie Godfrey)

Chapter 2409

Ruth's smile deepened, her eyes seemed to be covered with a layer of mist.

She muttered to herself, "So everyone in the Quartley Palace has had a chance to eat it. This meant my baby had eaten it too."

Yesseca and Preslie looked at each other in dismay.

Baby?

Preslie lowered her voice, "Can it be Ruth's child?"

Yesseca immediately realized something.

Indeed!

It must be Ruth's child!

She nodded and said, "I think so too!"

Preslie went straight to the point, "Ruth, your child should not even be at the age of eating solid food let alone these desserts. Shouldn't your child still be drinking milk at this age?"

"No, no, no," Ruth said. "He can start on solids already. He doesn't rely solely on milk anymore. Moreover, he has a big appetite. He'll definitely want to eat the desserts after seeing them. Madam Quartley will cherish this great-grandson of hers, she will definitely let him have some."

The more Ruth spoke of her child, the more excited she got, "My baby gets to eat the bread I made. I am sure of it."

Ruth's eyes were shining as she looked at Yesseca and Preslie. She continued, "My child gets to eat the bread I made! He gets to eat it every day!"

Yesseca was speechless.

And so was Preslie.

They both agreed that Ruth's imagination had gone too far.

First of all, the Quartley Palace had placed a large order. This meant that several employees were needed to bake in order to complete the orders. Therefore, the chance of Ruth's child consuming the very bread Ruth made was almost zero to none. Besides, Ruth's son was still so small. No one was sure whether the people in Quartley Palace would let him eat the desserts.

Preslie wanted to tell her all these but Yesseca's stare quieted her instantly.

Yesseca smiled at Ruth and said, "Yes Ruth, I think so too."

Having received Yesseca's confirmation, Ruth turned even happier.

She took Yesseca's hands and said, "Yesseca, in the future, please let me make all the desserts for Quartley Palace, okay? I want to be responsible for it."

Yesseca nodded and agreed.

However, she still said, "However the orders everyday are plentiful. I am afraid that you won't be able to make all of it. How about I get you an assistant?"

Ruth shook her head desperately, "No, I don't need it. I can do it alone. I don't need anyone else. This is the

only way that I can be sure me

baby

gets to eat it."

As she spoke, her eyes shone brightly, "I am going to make some desserts now. I want to let my child eat the desserts that I made." With that, Ruth hurried into the bakery.

She was so elated. Her initially weak body was filled with strength and excitement. There was a skip in every one of her steps.

Upon seeing Ruth's appearance, Yesseca's eyes flashed with a hint of relief.

It seemed that Ruth had found a new interest to depend on.

This was good news.

However, Preslie whispered, "Yesseca, Ruth will be exhausted if she does this. Do you know how much desserts the Quartley Palace orders every day? Previously we had several staff to help FindNovel

complete it. It's impossible for Ruth to do it all alone."

"She can do it," Yesseca said with certainty, "She will be able to do it."

Preslie wanted to go on, however, Yesseca said, "Preslie, haven't you noticed that Ruth's mood has been very low recently?"

Yesseca did not have to remind her, Preslie could tell all by herself.

Ruth was really happy when her croissants were popular back then.

However, the level of enthusiasm in Ruth soon disappeared.

No matter how great the croissants were sold, Ruth no longer made them with her heart.
