My Heart only Beats for You (Natalie Godfrey)

Chapter 2366

When they arrived back in Nashaland, Rorita said, "Well Mr. Tremaine, if you ever feel like you need to talk about her, you can talk to me about it." Tremaine replied sarcastically, "Why should I even talk to you?"

"Because," Rorita said seriously, "I'm your wife... and I also want to be your friend, someone you can talk to about your problems and troubles." "After all..." Rorita added, "You said that it would be impossible for us to ever be an actual couple, but you never said we couldn't be friends." Tremaine was shocked.

Just then he looked deep into Rorita's eyes.

After they had returned to Nashaland.

Tremaine went back into the bedroom with Rorita late at night.

Before that, he had been staring into the portrait the artist made for him.

As he stared at the portrait of Yesseca, he felt like a knife had stabbed his heart.

He recalled what had happened at Agaphen City

earlier that night.

He and a woman in a rabbit mask stared at each other from a distance.

Although she was wearing a mask, Tremaine was certain that it had been Yesseca.

At that moment, he felt a strong impulse to jump off the parade float, push his way through the crowd and hold Yesseca in his arms again. But he held back instead.

He held back because of his responsibilities.

He was the president of Nashaland. He was visiting Agaphen City with his wife for the lantern festival.

If he actually did such a thing, people would be shocked and ridicule him.

It would become a most shameful incident that Nashaland would have to suffer for.

So, he had to hold back his feelings.

What's more...

Tremaine smiled bitterly.

Even if he had run towards her and hugged Yesseca, was there even a glimmer of possibility for them to be together again?

It would be impossible.

Yesseca didn't have feelings for him anymore.

Otherwise during that time when he had fallen unconscious, she definitely would have come to see him. Even Madam Quartley had gone to see her and still she refused to come. If he had run towards her and hugged her, Yesseca would have simply pushed him away!

Tremaine closed his eyes, clearly in pain.

"Just pretend that tonight never happened." He told himself.

He had to bury Yessica away, deep inside him.

Because it was impossible for Yesseca to be with him in this life.

In Agaphen City.

Preslie was still in a daze when she opened her eyes and saw someone standing beside her bed.

Preslie was scared out of her wits.

She shouted as she quickly switched on the lights.

.n

When she realized that the person was actually Yesseca, she held her chest as she calmed herself down "Yesseca, what are you doing standing beside my bed like that? You almost scared me to death, I thought you were a ghost."

"Preslie, I actually had something I wanted to tell you." Yesseca explained, "But when I came in, f.saw that you were already asleep. hesitated as I thought about waking you up."

After hesitating for a while, she decided not to wake her up.

But just as Yesseca was about to go back to her bedroom, Preslie had woken up.

Preslie was speechless.

She got up and said, "Well, what did you want to say to me? I'm not sleepy anymore, so you can tell me."

Having said that, Preslie pulled Yesseca over to the bed, "Yesseca, we haven't had a late night chat like this in a while. Remember the last time when we worked as clothing store clerks? There was that one night I couldn't sleep, so we talked the whole night."

Preslie then stopped talking.

Because she remembered when that had happened.

That was the time the shopping mall management had sent them to Nashaland for training.

Seeing how embarrassed Preslie looked, Yesseca said, "That's alright Preslie. We were very young and naive back then."
