My Heart only Beats for You (Natalie Godfrey)

Chapter 2362

Tremaine was standing on a parade float surrounded by thousands of people. Yesseca was standing in the crowd.

But even then, their eyes met and locked onto each other in this dense crowd.

A single glance brought back years of memories.

Preslie noticed them too.

She was shocked to see this!

Goodness!

Tremaine and Yesseca were looking at each other!

She was looking at him and he was looking back at her! They were stuck together like glue!

This isn't right!

It was easy to spot Tremaine as he didn't have a mask on, but Tremaine was able to spot Yesseca easily!

Preslie couldn't figure out how he did this despite trying her best to think about it.

Maybe it was because she was standing next to Yesseca! She always kept close to her, that was probably how he had spotted her!

Rorita noticed Tremaine's sudden change in behaviour.

She followed Tremaine's gaze to see what he was looking at.

She spotted a woman wearing a rabbit mask staring back at Tremaine.

Rorita was taken aback from this.

Why was the president staring so intently as a citizen of Agaphen City?

Could it be...

Then Rorita remembered. He had told her that the woman he loved was in Agaphen City.

She felt her heart tightening.

Could that woman he was looking at right now be Yesseca?

Just before Rorita began to fall into a daze herself, she heard a voice ask her, "Mrs. Quartley, is everything alright with your husband?" The president of Agaphen City had also noticed Tremaine's sudden change in behavior.

Rorita was shocked.

This wasn't the time for her to be distracted and neither was it for Tremaine!

Rorita whispered into his ear, "Tremaine?"

But Tremaine did not stir from his daze.

He was still staring fixedly at the same person, as though he had become a soulless husk.

Rorita bit down on her lip and quickly held his hand.

Once Rorita held his arm, Tremaine snapped out of his trance.

He had wanted to pull away from her but then she whispered, "Now isn't the time to be distracted. There is a huge crowd of people looking at you right now."

Rorita then went back to reaching and shaking hands with the people.

The crowd on the street saw Tremaine and Rorita holding hands, then burst out cheering.

Tremaine's eyes glistened for a brief moment, but then quickly vanished into thin air.

He decided not to pull away his hand, instead he lifted up his hand with Rorita's still in his grip and showed it to the crowd.

The parade float continued moving down the street at a slow and steady pace.

Just like that, the woman in the rabbit mask had disappeared.

Tremaine smiled, but his heart was bitter.

He thought that since everyone was in a mask, he wouldn't be able to recognize Yesseca.

But he had been wrong.

Everything about her had been

deeply engraved into his mind. Even though she had a mask on, he instantly recognized her. Even if she had been turned into ashes, he would still know it was her

Yesseca felt all of her strength evaporate when she saw Tremaine.

Her legs went limp. If it weren't for Preslie's impeccable timing, she would have fallen down.

Noticing how pale Yesseca's face

was, Preslie quickly said to her, "Yesseca, think it's time for us to head home now. We've already come all this way to the street here, that's participation enough for us. Let's go."

Yesseca's pupils had dilated when she turned to look at Preslie, she nodded.

Preslie brought Yesseca home immediately.

At this time, Matthew had also been dragged into the crowd by Selina.
