In the living room of the Wyatt family villa in Rivenesco, Margaret looked glum.

Opposite her, Amara dialed a number on her phone.

The line beeped with the call tone. Then, a mechanized voice said, "The number you have dialed is not answering. Please try again later..."

The same thing repeated every time she called the number. Amara's face darkened.

"Still can't get through?" Margaret asked in concern.

Amara sighed.

"What's Elisa doing, anyway? Why isn't she answering her phone?" Amara was displeased.

"She said that she wanted to cash in all her chips and unite the whole underground in Lannopolis. She told us to wait for her to return with good news. After that, we lost contact with her..." Margaret paled.

The whole thing felt very familiar.

A while ago, her daughter, Bianca, had said the same thing, equally confidently. In the end, she could not be reached, either. Even with all the power of the Winter family, they had not been able to find any trace of her. Here they were again, and the same thing had happened to Elisa.

She raised her phone to call someone.

Yet, the only information Amara got was from an automated voice telling her that the phone was switched off.

She called several different members of the Chandler family, but no one answered.

Amara let out a huff. She wanted to fling her phone away.

Amara and Margaret were sure that Elisa was in trouble.

"Robin Turner of the Lotus Sect went along with her. I'm sure my call won't get through to him, either." Amara made one last call, but it went unanswered as usual. "Dustin is such a curse on us. How could Elisa just disappear?" Amara looked furious.

After the Wyatt family's return to power, its influence had expanded greatly. It should have taken no effort at all to get rid of Dustin.

As such, Amara had not made a move herself. She was too busy expanding the family's influence.

Bianca, a daughter of the Winter family, was cunning and adept at maneuvering schemes.
