Masked In Nobility: Secrets Of Mrs. Chavez

Chapter Secrets Of MrS 684

Chapter 684

Yvette strode onto the stage nonchalantly and stunned everyone in the bar with her sudden appearance. Bewildered, the bearded pianist immediately stopped playing. He was likely wondering why someone had just appeared out of nowhere. Striding to the center of the stage, Yvette stood there casually. Squinting, she scanned the room with a smirk. Under the lights, her exquisite face showed a cool yet frivolous defiance.

Everyone was captivated by Yvette until she spoke, leaving them in shock with her words. "Hey, guys and girls-how's it going? I'm back!" she announced.

Jeremiah sat on the couch below the stage, his eyebrows twitching slightly as he watched Yvette greet everyone on stage. He sighed silently, thinking. Oh well, as long as she's happy...

The announcement caused both Emmett and Bruno to almost drop their drinks. They thought, 'Oh, no-that familiar yet terrifying feeling is back."

Frankie and Chris had only heard about how different Yvette was when she got drunk, but they had never seen it themselves. They were shocked to hear her words. They thought, No way... Is this really the usually composed Yvette? Has she been possessed?' The other people in the bar enthusiastically cheered. With a slightly hazy gaze, Yvette waved at the crowd, her presence commanding. Her eyes drifted over to where Jeremiah and the others were sitting, and her gaze conveniently slid over the former

Wette's mind was clear about one thing-the people there were from all over the world, and she needed a few translators, Otherwise, she'd exhaust herself. Hence, it was time to enlist some help.

Standing straight, Yvette lifted her eyelids and raised her eyebrows. Unhurriedly, she called out to Emmett and a few others. "Uprian No. 1. Aboriginal No. 2, Sylvonican No. 3, and Granatanglan No. 4, come here."

Emmett, Chris, Frankie, and Bruno were confused. Wondering about the meaning of the numbers, they all turned to Jeremiah for answers.

Jeremiah pinched the bridge of his nose with his slender fingers and said calmly, "You four, get up there." After a pause, he added. Translate for her,

The four men were puzzled. They wondered, What's going on? Isn't Yvette supposed to get into physical fights when she's drunk instead of verbally sparring?

Emmett was the first to stand, followed by Bruno. They both knew that if they didn't get on stage, the outcome could be even worse. Frankie and Chris also got up.

None of them had ever imagined that they would end up as translators at Spaunia Bar. They stepped onto the stage and lined up, awaiting Yvette's next command. The audience below was puzzled by the sudden appearance of the four men Yvette looked at the four of them with satisfaction. Her gaze was meaningful as she raised her eyebrows and walked up to them with a friendly smile. Sincerely, she said, "The four of you have potential. If you do well, I won't treat you badly." The four men's lips twitched as they thought, "When Yvette's drunk, she certainly makes big promises"

After speaking, Yvette turned to face the audience. Her eyes were clear, and her expression was calm. She showed no signs of being drunk as she casually asked the crowd, "Do you know why a spider that fell from the ceiling only has seven legs?" Jeremiah curled his lips with a hint of a smile in his eyes. He wondered, 'Is Yvette about to tell a corny joke?

After Yvette had finished speaking, she tilted her head and looked at Frankie and the other three. Under everyone's curious gazes, the four of them braced themselves and translated what she had said into several languages. 1/3

Chapter 684

It was definitely one of the post awkward moments in their live Indeed, what was the situation? There they were, translating corny jokes at a bar. It was unbelievable.

The people in the bar glanced at each other and began whispering. Two minutes passed by, and no one stepped up to answer. They all turned their attention to Yvette.

Yvette rolled her eyes, clearly unimpressed. She thought, 'How in these people be so clueless?"

Slowly. Yvette said. "Because the spider has covered its chest with a leg as it said, "That scared me, that scared me!"

When Emmett and the others finished translating, they completely gave up on being embarrassed. After all, nobody knew anyone there-they stopped caring.

The crowd fell silent for a moment after hearing the punchline. A flicker of amusement sparkled in Jeremiah's blue eyes as he began clapping. Following his lead, the bar burst into applause.

When he saw everyone applauding, Frankie mumbled, "Do these foreigners even know what a lame joke is?"

Chris murmured, "Do you think they would be clapping if they actually understood?"

Emmett and Bruno nodded. Chris was right-only someone like a tipsy Yvette could get away with fooling foreigners with a lame joke.

Waving her hand, Yvette raised an eyebrow. With a slight smile on her lips, she then asked, "How does someone who hurt the back of their head sleep?"

The audience below started shouting all at once. Someone suggested that the person would sleep on their side, while another said that they should sleep on their stomach. Someone else said that the solution must not be a simple one. Yvette did not leave them in suspense for long and casually revealed, "They sleep with their eyes closed."

Behind her, Emmett and his friends were at a loss for words. They thought, "Wow. Yvette has just switched from telling silly jokes to brain teasers.

Next, Yvette asked, "What's the main reason for divorce? The answer-marriage. She continued, "If what you're born with comes from your parents, then what's acquired later? The answer is the future-because it's always after the present!" Yvette asked, "What does an elephant's left car look like? The answer is... its right ear!"

For the next half-hour, Yvette shared dozens of quick brain teasers on the stage. The crowd of foreigners listened with interest, nodding and clapping occasionally, creating a lively atmosphere. Even the pianist listened with great interest. However, it was a real struggle for Emmett, Chris, Frankie, and Bruno. They were racking their brains to translate, nearly depleting their vocabulary. It wasn't until Yvette had finished the last brain teaser that they finally got a break. Jeremiah's gaze remained on Yvette the entire time. He did not look away for even a moment.

Just as Frankie, Emmett, and the others thought that they were finally free, Yvette turned around and walked over. She looked them over as if she were meeting them for the first time. Then, she nodded seriously.

Then, Yvette went over to the piano and sat down leisurely. She picked up the microphone and slowly said, "Hey, everyone want to see a fantastic show? I promise it'll be amazing! You won't be disappointed. Just 10 Amerian dollars per person don't pass the opportunity! It's only 10 Amerian dollars!"

Frankie, Chris, Emmett, and Bruno stiffly turned their heads to look at Yvette. Her knack for trickery was truly remarkable. They couldn't help but be impressed that she had managed to find a way to charge people even in a situation like that,

They thought to themselves, It's over. Yvette's image is completely ruined. Can she ever recover from this!"
