Love Comes To Me

Chapter 674: Why did she feel a little familiar?

"Then you will be responsible for driving Eloise from now on, look at you as a husband, Eloise has to drive herself when she goes out on a regular basis!" Before Eloise could say anything, Mrs Darlington had already made her decision and it was a bit awkward for her to refuse.

Mrs Darlington seemed a little more enthusiastic than usual today, taking Eloise's arm and chatting a lot after dinner.

The next day, when she woke up in the morning, Eloise found Sweety not as lively as usual, but kept tossing and turning in bed, grunting.

It was only then that I realised Sweety was sick and patted her gently, trying to get her up to go and eat.

Who knew that as soon as he touched the person, he noticed something strange about the temperature.

He picked Sweety up in a hurry and touched his forehead to Sweety's, which was a little hot, "Baby, you have a fever."

Sweety, nestled softly in Eloise's arms, whispered, "Mommy, it hurts."

Seeing the little girl's blushing face, Eloise looked self-conscious.

"It's mummy's fault, baby, let's go to the hospital now."

As soon as Sweety heard she was going to the hospital, she struggled to get down, yelling, "No hospital, Sweety no hospital." Eloise said patiently, "Go to the hospital for pain before you fly away."

"No no no, don't go."

Sweety only knows that going to the hospital will involve injections, pain and suffering, and refuses to go.

Although she is small, she is strong and Eloise can barely hold her for fear of hurting her.

The mobile phone on the coffee table rang while I was in the middle of a frenzy.

Eloise picks up and Solomon's light-hearted voice rings out on the other end.

"Mummy, how are you and your sister today?"

Just as he finished, he seemed to hear a voice coming through the phone and wondered, "Mummy, why do I hear my sister crying?" Eloise glanced at Sweety, who was bawling with her pink lips open, and held her forehead.

But it's not crying, or the watery kind.

"Solomon, my sister is a bit sick today and refuses to go to the hospital for her injection, can you persuade her?"

Kids are better at communicating with kids and Sweety always listens to Solomon, so Eloise is counting on him to give it a go this time.

Solomon was a little anxious when he heard, "Okay, I'll talk my sister into it, Mummy you put her on the phone."

Eloise put the phone on speaker and coaxed, "Sweety, brother wants to talk to you oh, do you want to talk to brother on the phone?"

Sweety stopped crying a little and hugged her phone and whimpered, "Brother, Sweety is so uncomfortable."

Solomon's heart broke as he listened to the little milky voice.

Only hating himself for not having wings and not being able to fly to Sweety's side immediately, he soothed in his softest voice, "Sister, you have to go to the doctor if it's hard, it won't hurt anymore once you see the doctor." "Sweety is scared of needles and doesn't want to go to the hospital." Sweety huffed and puffed as she spoke.

Solomon then coaxed patiently, "How about taking your medicine, Sweety's medicine."

"Brother cheats, the medicine is bitter."

Sweety wrinkled her little nose.

Then Solomon told her that there was also sweet medicine.

If she's good, she won't feel bad after taking her medicine.

Eloise also took the opportunity to rummage through some cold packets and gave them to Sweety with water.

Sweety took a sip, and when it was really sweet, she clutched the glass and gulped it down.

It was only when Sweety finished her medicine and fell asleep again that Solomon sighed with relief.

Eloise, also relieved, thanked Solomon and hung up the phone.

For several days thereafter, Solomon would call on time and supervise Sweety's medication.

Sweety's fever is slowly going down, but the whole thing is more delicate than usual.

When she was on medication, Eloise gave her a very light diet and couldn't eat anything sweet, so as soon as she was well, she immediately demanded dessert.

Eloise thought she had done well this time and promised to buy her back.

At the dessert shop, Eloise grabbed a few of Sweety's favourite desserts and headed to the checkout counter.

But she always felt as if someone was watching her, and when she looked back, there was nothing.

Eloise shook her head in frustration.

Eloise went to the cashier and paid for her things and carried them out of the sweet shop.

A plainly dressed woman stopped her and said supplicatingly, "This kind girl, my mobile phone and wallet have been stolen. I haven't eaten for three days, can you treat me to a meal?" Eloise frowned slightly and took a step back, looking warily at the woman with her hair in disarray.

She had heard this scam a lot and did not believe it.

"I'm really not a liar, I just want to have a meal, so be merciful and consider it a good deed for the day."

The woman looked straight at Eloise through her dishevelled hair.

Eloise felt a little uncomfortable and puzzled at the same time; this man, why did he seem a little familiar to her?

But for a moment I couldn't remember where I'd seen it before.

The eyes always gave her a false impression.

Just as she frowned in thought, the woman said much more.

In short, it was all some particularly pathetic words, something about her husband and children being gone, leaving her alone and so on.

Eloise couldn't help but feel a little compassionate, thinking that if it was true, it wouldn't hurt to help her out.

It would have been better if it was fake, because she was so miserable with that experience.

With that in mind, Eloise gave her a handful of change and said warmly, "There's enough here to feed you for a few meals, take it and get a job."

The woman took the money, but instead of leaving immediately, she said, "Good man, can you accompany me to a meal, it won't cost that much."

Eloise was a little upset, having just said it would be fine for just one meal, but now she wanted to accompany her and couldn't help but be a little suspicious.

Seeing Eloise's displeased face, the woman smiled bitterly and said with loss, "Actually, the shop won't let me in for someone like me, so even with the money, I can't get a meal." Eloise looked slightly relieved to hear her say that.

Surveying her, the woman was, however, shabbily dressed and above all unclean.

It is true that some discerning establishments will not let such people in for fear of disturbing other diners.

She sighed inwardly, forget it, let's help people to the end.

Looking around, he saw a burger joint and said, "Let me go there and get you a burger combo."

"No!" The woman, however, refused.

Eloise paused in her tracks, "You don't like burgers?"

The woman smiled shyly, "No, burgers are too expensive, I'll just have a simple spaghetti."

Eloise said lightly, "It's fine, it's on me, you can keep the money I gave you, you don't have to pay for this one."

The woman, however, shook her head repeatedly and said anxiously, "No really, it's good that you're helping me, I can't let you break the bank again, there's a simple western restaurant over there, just go there." She pointed to a very small shop on the opposite corner of the road.

Eloise looked at the dessert in her hand, thought about Sweety at home and, not wanting to delay any longer, said dryly, "OK then, let's go to that one."
