His Destructive, Toxic Love

Chapter 503

Hold on tight. It's better than letting this guy catch another cold-she didn't have time to nurse him back to health.

"Achoo!" The man sneezed.

Eliza glanced over, her eyes filled with concern. "Are you catching a cold?"

"Just a bit, but I'm fine." He scooted closer to Eliza. "It's just a little chilly."

"I'll check if there are any extra blankets or something," Eliza said, getting up to look around.

Casper grabbed her wrist. "Don't go out, it's freezing."

"It's alright, I'll just take a quick look." She insisted, but as soon as she started to get out of the sleeping bag, he pulled her back with surprising strength. She fell backward, but landed safely in his arms.

Their faces were so close, just an inch apart.

The closeness was awkward, their breaths mingling awkwardly-in short, it was all very awkward.

She pursed her lips, her gaze shyly avoiding his.

But he looked at her intently, his eyes filled with tenderness.

Feeling the warmth of his gaze, she couldn't help but meet his eyes.

Neither of them spoke, just gazing at each other, their breaths intertwining. She could even hear the sound of his heartbeat.

His face slowly moved closer, his nose brushing against hers, the atmosphere charged with unspoken tension.

Her heart raced, she wanted to hold her breath, but her heartbeat quickened, her chest rising and falling.

His slender fingers gently touched her lips, sending a shiver through her, causing her eyelashes to flutter.

His dark eyes scanned her features, desire and longing mingling, stirring the night air.

Finally, his lips softly met hers.

A delicate touch, like a dragonfly skimming the water, before he paused to look at her again.

Her face burned red, her small hands clutching his chest, her eyes misty with emotion.

It felt like young lovers tasting forbidden fruit for the first time.

Wanting, yet afraid to want; willing, yet full of hesitation.

Her slightly parted lips seemed like an invitation for him to be bold, and he leaned in to kiss her again.

Their tongues danced, and he greedily savored her breath.

His kisses traveled from her lips to her fair neck, finally lingering on her delicate collarbones...

He held her hand, their fingers interlocked, making her cheeks blush.

That night, he kissed her for what felt like forever.

The foreplay was thorough, and she seemed to completely let go, so much that in the end, her hands reached up to his neck, allowing him to take the lead.

It wasn't the perfect place for romance.

Though it wasn't fully satisfying, it was the most willingly they had given themselves to each other.

He looked at the fine beads of sweat on her nose and the mist on her eyelashes.

He kissed her forehead, pulling her close. "Let's get some sleep."

Eliza drifted off quickly.

But Casper couldn't sleep.

A smug smile played on his lips, his

He finally understood what it meant to regain something precious.

But he knew this was just the beginning.

She had only temporarily let her guard down, as she said, she wanted to give them both a chance.

As if they were getting to know each other all over again.

This time, he was determined to seize this opportunity, no room for failure.

When Eliza woke up, daylight was streaming in.

Brock was squatting in front of her, blinking his big eyes, as if seeing something amazing.

"Hey, sweetheart," she said, propping herself up and suddenly realizing she was undressed. She quickly lay back down. "You're already up? Where's Mr. Casper?"

"Daddy Casper is..." Brock pointed outside, "...making breakfast."
