Chapter 80
BOOKS Chapter3
Amelia was the closest match Michael could find to me.
Her eyes burned with anger as she stood with a few indifferent associates behind her.
"You low-life," Amelia said with venom, "knowing Michael's obsession with me, you went through all this trouble to imitate me, hoping to replace me, didn't you?"
I raised my gaze and looked at Amelia calmly, my voice tinged with resignation. "This isn't your place. Michael isn't here, so you should leave before things escalate." Amelia sneered, flicking her hair dismissively.
"Michael is my man. There's no place of his that's off-limits to me. You're just afraid that I will expose your little scheme and leave you with nothing."
As she spoke, Amelia yanked my hair roughly, making me wince in pain.
"You-" Before I could finish, she kicked me hard, sending me crashing into a nearby coffee table with a loud thud.
Struggling to get up, I wiped the blood from my forehead and said coolly: "Aren't you worried about Michael finding out about this behavior?"
Amelia scoffed: "I'm the soulmate Michael's been searching for. Even a scratch on my face would upset him. If he finds out, what's he going to do? Blame me because of you, a pathetic pretender?"
Her bodyguards chimed in with mockery: "Exactly, everyone knows Mr. Jackson was instantly taken with Amelia. How dare you, a cheap imitation, compare yourself to her?"
"Mr. Jackson is a high-profile figure, and women like you are a dime a dozen. We're making an example of you today to deter other schemers!"
"That's right, let anyone trying to climb the social ladder know who Mr. Jackson's true love is!"
My expression hardened, my voice edged with warning: "You'd better check with
Michael about who I really am."
Amelia raised her chin with disdain: "What makes you think you can compare yourself to me? I'm Michael's top priority, and my family is the Jackson family's most important partner." Her eyes flashed with anger as she ordered her bodyguards: "Strip her. Let's see if
she's managed to alter her body to look like mine."
The bodyguards moved toward me, tearing at my clothes with rough force.
I struggled to protect myself, shouting: "Stop! I'm Michael's wife!"
At my words, they hesitated. Amelia's gaze hardened: "You say you're Michael's wife?"
I replied steadily: "Yes, that's right. You're just a stand-in he found. If he knew you
were treating me like this, he wouldn't let you get away with it."
Amelia and her bodyguards didn't believe me and mocked me instead: "This
woman must be out of her mind if she thinks she can replace Amelia."
"Just because you look a bit like Amelia

Amelia smirked with disdain: "I thought if you resembled me to

"I've been with Michael for a while and didn't know he was How dare
you lie so shamelessly?"
"If you were really his wife, why are you living alone in this remote villa?"
Amelia sneered again and ordered her bodyguards: "Continue stripping her. Leave nothing!"
The bodyguards resumed their rough stripping without hesitation.
I fought back desperately but was overwhelmed.
Michael had purchased the villa and the surrounding land, and no one was
allowed entry without his permission.
The villa had previously had security and staff, but Michael had
dismissed them out of jealousy keeping my identity hidden to avoid unwanted attention.
Ironically, these measures were now being used against me.
