Chapter 1137
"I'm not being rash. Whether Grandma loses her memory again or not, you'll never be Rose. I'll never take you as her replacement." Theodore was making himself very clear.
"Enough about replacements. Don't make it sound as though you're being considerate of me. If you really were, you wouldn't be talking about this right now. I'm really exhausted. I'm going to get some rest. We'll talk more next time," Aurora said.
With that, she ran off in tears.
Theodore didn't chase after her. He was worried about starting an argument with her and awakening Rebecca.
He deeply regretted what he did, hurting one woman after another. Perhaps he was under a curse.
He didn't expect to talk to Aurora about it right now. Sometimes, no amount of preparation could compare to an accident or a sudden urge.
Aurora ran back to her room in tears.
She was sharing a room with Angie.
Angie had just showered and was getting ready to hole up in her bed to enjoy a novel while scolding the author.
When she saw Aurora running back tearfully, she asked, "Aurora, what's wrong?"
Aurora collapsed on her bed, sobbing hard.
Angie approached her, trying to comfort her. "What happened?"
"Theo wants a break-up. I can't believe he actually asked for it! He's too much!"
"Goodness, this can't be!" Angie was shocked. "How could he say that at a time like this? Oh, I know. Rosalie must have instigated him. She's truly wicked!"
Aurora gritted her teeth. "I just don't understand. I sacrificed so much, so why is he still treating me like this?"
"It's all Rosalie's fault!" Angie shifted all the blame onto Rosalie. Theodore was blameless, after all. The blame was all on Rosalie alone. "She must have said something to Theodore! That woman is up to no good."
Aurora wiped the tears from her face. "What should I do now?"
"What did Theodore say?" Angie asked curiously.
Aurora told Angie everything Theodore said earlier.
After hearing Aurora out, Angie said, "You were right to say that. Drag things out and for all you know, Theodore might change his mind after a few days. Madam Jarvis fleets in between alertness and confusion and it's hard to tell when things will change. For all you know, she won't be able to do without you in time to come."
Angie wiped the tears on Aurora's face with a napkin.
"Don't cry. Don't give that bitch Rosalie a chance to be smug."
Angie said those words through gritted teeth, a wicked glint flashing past her eyes.
Aurora took a deep breath and tried to hold back her tears. "You're right. It's not Theo's fault. It's all Rosalie's fault!"
Rosalie left the bathroom, only to find Theodore sitting on the couch with his laptop, looking as though he was working.
His serious expression made Rosalie feel as though they had returned to the past.
However, she snapped back to reality very quickly and said, "I'm done. It's your turn now."
"Alright," Theodore said as he put his laptop down.
"Theo, I'll sleep on the couch. You're so tall, so sleeping on the couch will be very uncomfortable for you."
The couch was just the right size for her.
"It's alright, I can sleep on the couch. You should take the bed. Don't stand on ceremony with me on things like this."
He would never let Rosalie sleep on the couch.

Rosalie didn't say anything further.
Theodore entered the bathroom. After he was done with his shower, he walked out to find Rosalie sleeping on the couch.
Theodore's brows furrowed. "Rose
why are you sleeping here? I told you to sleep on the bed. It's not
"It's fine. It's quite comfortable, and I'm way smaller than you are. Sleeping on the couch is quite fine. Just sleep on the bed."
Theodore continued standing next to the couch, refusing to budge.
"Go on. Stop staring at me. I'm tired," Rosalie said.
Suddenly, Theodore hauled Rosalie up in his arms and walked to the bed.
Rosalie was so frightened she almost yelped in surprise. However, she suppressed the urge to scream for fear of waking Rebecca who was just next door.
"What are you doing?" she hissed in hushed tones.
Theodore carried Rosalie to the bed, covered the sheets up to her shoulders, and pressed her down onto the bed.
"You'll take the bed while I'll take the

couch. That settles it. If you refuse, I'll sleep on the bed, too. I don't mind sleeping with you," Theodore said, his tone firm and unyielding.
