Chapter 106
Chapter 106
Because Cedric refused to go to the hospital, Sienna had no choice but to buy some medicine from the pharmacy and handle it herself.
“Are you sure you’re okay?” Sienna asked, still worried. “If you’ve hurt an internal organ, that’s no joke.”
“I’m fine.” Cedric chuckled, his lips still covered with a band–aid, making him look a little silly.
He seemed a bit embarrassed. “You didn’t think I was useless for not hitting Josiah, did you?”
Sienna was caught off guard, then couldn’t help but laugh. “What are you talking about? Is hitting someone supposed to be some kind of special skill?”
‘Guess not, he wondered. Cedric pressed his lips together, hiding his smile. “I was just asking. Don’t take it seriously.”
But Sienna couldn’t help but sigh, feeling both lost and uneasy. I’ve said so much… Cedric, L…
“I know” Before she could finish, Cedric quickly took over her sentence.
I know you don’t really like me, and I didn’t take it seriously,” he said, looking at her with clear, sincere eyes.
He added, “I also want to apologize for acting without your permission. I didn’t mean to upset you.”
“How could I be mad?? she thought. I’m not the kind of person who can’t tell right from wrong. There’s no way I’d accept his help and then turn around to blame him.
Sienna shook her head, smiling. “I’m not angry, I just…” She wasnt sure how to explain herself.
“It’s fine.” Cedric could tell what she was about to say and didn’t want her to feel awkward. He confessed his own feelings openly.
He explained, “Don’t feel pressured. I’ll admit, yes, I helped you, but I also had my own reasons.”
Sienna was surprised. She hadn’t expected him to be so straightforward, without hiding anything.
“Cedric, I’ve already told you before… We’re not right for each other,” she said.
“I remember that,” Cedric said with a nod and a smile. “But I don’t understand. How exactly are we not right for each other?”
Isn’t it obvious?‘ she thought. ‘One, I have no family background Two, there’s my past marriage….
Cedric paused for a moment before asking, “Sienna, do you know Marcus?”
‘Marcus?” she wondered. Having lived in Fliraty for so long, Sienna definitely knew him. Marcus Jordan was the son of basketball star Jordan.
Now she understood why Cedric brought up Marcus. Marcus had fallen in love with Lapa, the ex–wife of one of his father’s close friends. Larsa was sixteen years older than him, divorced, and had four kids.
Their relationship had caused quite a stir back then, and to this day, people still talked about it with a sense of awe.
Cedric continued. “You see… Marcus and Larsa didn’t care about being a perfect match. I don’t get why you think there’s some kind of issue between us.”
Sienna opened her mouth several times, but couldn’t find the words to argue back,
“So, Sienna, Cedric said, a smile curling at his lips. “The idea of being a perfect match isn’t what should keep two people.

apart. Whether they’re together or not depends on if they love each other.”
Before Sienna could respond, he added, “I know this might just be me holding onto hope, and that you don’t feel the same way I Don’t worry, though. What happened tonight, I was just helping you I won’t try to force you into anything”
Then what’s the difference between me and Josiah?‘ he thought
Having said all that, Cedric felt a little shy, but there was no hesitation in his words. “You need my help, so please don’t turn it down, alright?”
Sienna was surprised. He was so clear–headed, yet so reckless and passionate.
However, there was something she had to say. “I know this sounds awful, but I’m not Larsa, and this isn’t Fliraty. The effort you’re putting into me won’t be returned”
“Well, at least I tried. Cedric shrugged, his eyes burning with intensity. “If I don’t even have the courage to fight for the girl I like, then I’m not really in a position to talk about liking anyone
He raised an eyebrow and smiled. “Who knows what the future holds, right?”
The next day, during the lunch break at the dance studio, Sienna went to the hospital, the same one where she had bought the medicine before.
This doctor was someone she knew through Hannah, and because of that, he had a better understanding of her situation and took good care of her.
As soon as he saw her, he asked, “Finished the medicine?”
“No.” Sienna replied. In fact, after things with Ryan didn’t work out, she hadn’t taken any of the medicine.
“Is there something wrong with you?” The doctor raised his hand signaling for her to sit down. “Sit and tell me.”
“Okay.” Sienna sat down and shared her concerns.
She explained, “Actually, I didn’t take much of the medicine. Afterward, it seemed like my symptoms improved a little. As long as there aren’t any aggressive movements, my reactions aren’t as intense. But sometimes. I still can’t seem to control myself…”
“Is that so? Tell me more,” the doctor said.
“Sure.” Sienna nodded.
After hearing her out, the doctor said, “Based on what you’re describing, your condition should be improving. This means your body is starting to recognize whether the environment is safe or not.”
He suggested. “What do you think about treatment? It might even cure it entirely.”
Psychological treatment was no small expense.
Sienna smiled politely and declined, “No, thank you, doctor.”
“Alright. If you need anything, feel free to come back anytime,” he said.
“Thank you,” she replied, walking out of the hospital.

At five in the afternoon. Sienna had just entered the dance studio. Since she wasn’t assigned a performance yet, she was free to leave once the time hit.
After changing into her practice clothes, Sienna stepped out of the studio, turned around, and headed for the subway
station..
“Hi, Sienna, someone greeted her.
She turned around and saw Cedric jogging toward her, grinning from ear to ear
“What are you doing here?” she asked.
“I’m here to pick you up after work,” Cedric replied, still smiling, but then said suddenly, “Don’t look around. Just look at me.”
“Huh?” Sienna was puzzled. “What’s going on?”
Josiah’s car is parked at the corner, he explained,
Sienna’s heart skipped a beat. Does Josiah still refuse to give upshe wondered.
Cedric took a few steps closer and leaned down slightly, his face so close that it almost seemed like they were stuck together.
He whispered in her ear, “I think Josiah doesn’t believe we’re really together.”
Even though that was the truth. “Luckily, I predicted his prediction,” he added.
Cedric grinned, looking pleased with himself. I figured I’d come pick you up after work. You have to complete the act, right? Sienna, give him a smile. Smile for him
Sienna hadn’t planned to smile, but with his teasing, she couldn’t help it.
She laughed out loud, genuinely enjoying it.
