Big Daddy Firemen: Chapter 14
It was when the group pulled onto Big Cedar’s Main Street that Walker said, “You don’t want to stay by yourself tonight, huh?”
Sitting in the front passenger seat, Daisy looked out the window at the passing darkness. She felt silly but finally nodded with a heavy sigh.
“Is sleeping over with us that bad?” Austin asked from behind the wheel. They were in his black, four-door pickup truck and the drive back from Krebs had been a pleasant one, with the group laughing as they recalled the look on Clinton Grimes’ face.
As they’d gotten closer to Big Cedar, however, Daisy had started fretting about going home alone to her dark house. Evidently, her apprehension had been easy enough for the guys to pick up on.
“It’s not bad at all,” Daisy responded. “I just feel silly. I’m a grown woman. It shouldn’t bother me to stay at my own house.”
The next question came from Cane. “Are you still scared over that Bigfoot stuff?”
Daisy laughed a little before admitting, “Yeah.”
Cane leaned up from the backseat enough so that Daisy could read the grin on his face. “Good. We’ve been coordinating this whole thing with Bigfoot to drive you right where you need to be—with us.” He winked.
His joking made Daisy feel a little better, but she was still embarrassed. They probably thought she was just like the Littles that lived in Big Cedar.
There was nothing wrong with Littles. She’d just never considered herself to be one.
But you sure wouldn’t know it by the way she was acting, she realized. She was afraid of Bigfoot—who wasn’t even real! And she couldn’t even handle a bad date by herself. She’d had to call the guys to bail her out!
She sank lower in her seat and crossed her arms, starting to pout.
From the driver’s seat, Austin shook his head. “Don’t be grumpy, little girl. We’re almost home. You need to get ready for bed and then hit the sack. You’ve had a big night and maybe you’ll feel better in the morning.”
They stopped by her house first so she could gather her stuff before heading over to the firehouse.
Thirty minutes later, Daisy was ready for bed.
She was getting ready to settle into the spare room when a knock on the open door startled her. She looked up to see Walker standing there.
“Hey,” he said
“Hey,” she said back.
“Mind if I come in?”
“Not at all.”
She brought her legs up on the bed and chewed on the inside of her cheek as she waited to hear whatever Walker had come to talk about. She wasn’t sure why, but tears seemed to be mounting behind her eyes, threatening to escape at any moment.
Walker grabbed a chair that rested against the wall and brought it near the bed, positioning it across from Daisy. He sat down and smiled as he looked into her eyes.
“What’s on your mind, pretty girl?”
She smiled. “I don’t know, actually.”
He let a few seconds tick by before he nodded and continued. “Well, I think I might know. And that’s what I wanted to talk to you about.” He reached out, took her hands, and held them in his while he said, “Don’t take what that idiot said to heart. You’re beautiful and your body is perfect.”
And there it was. The dam broke. Daisy started sobbing as she fell forward. Walker had to scoot up to catch her against his body, but he was able to wrap his arms around her in time and hold her tightly as she sobbed.
“Shhh. It’s okay, sweetheart. It’s okay,” he said in a soothing tone.
“What if I’m gross and frumpy forever?” she cried.
“You’re not gross and frumpy now!” he said. “Honey, you’re just perfect. In every way.”
“But… the way he looked at me. He thinks I’m a fat pig who—”
“He’s an asshole. His opinion is irrelevant,” Walker said.
This actually drew a laugh through the tears, causing Daisy to momentarily smile. That faded quickly, though, when she said, “But I’m not pretty, Walker. I know I’m not.”
“You hush with that kind of talk. You’ve had a rough night. It’s okay to feel how you feel. But under ordinary circumstances, saying something like that would get you a sore bottom.” Walker stood, still holding her.
Daisy gasped. Her stomach turned over in a nervous somersault. How was he able to just pick her up like that? He was holding her as if she weighed nothing.
As his hands slid lower, so he could keep a safe hold on her, she became acutely aware that once again, she was just in her panties and sleep shirt in front of this gorgeous man.
And she was about to be in front of the others, too.
Because Walker was carrying her though the firehouse and into the main room where Cane and Austin were. They stood up from the couch where they’d been watching a football game.
“Is our little cutie okay?” Cane asked.
“She’s a little sad,” Walker told them. “Thinking about what that moron back in Krebs did.” He sat on the couch, positioned Daisy on his lap, and then continued. “She thinks she’s, and I quote, gross and frumpy.”
He kissed her on the top of her head.
It took a moment for the action to register. Once it finally did, Daisy was stunned.
She was equally as stunned when he did it again, several times, holding her close and rubbing her back.
“We could drive to McAlester and kick his ass,” Austin suggested.
Everyone laughed.
“I have a better idea,” Cane said. “We could just stay here and show this cutie just how beautiful she really is.”
He came closer and put his hands on her shoulders.
With both men touching her, Daisy had to stifle a cry of ecstasy. She could only imagine how big the wet spot on her panties was growing.
“Hey, I want to hold her now,” Cane said, as he sat on the couch beside Walker. “It’s only fair that we all get a turn.”
“Just one turn?” Austin said. “Nope. I plan on holding you a lot tonight. Just get ready. We have some cuddle time coming.”
He was behind her now. Walker had moved to her side. She was practically surrounded by the men, and it was wonderful. A warm sense of safety started in her core before swelling and suffusing throughout her entire body. She battled the urge to reach out and rub the bulge she saw poking against Walker’s gray sweatshorts. While she didn’t know the extent of just how long it was, she figured, she had a pretty good idea based upon the outline she saw on the other side of that fabric.
She could feel the heat radiating off the men.
She shuddered as a delighted chill shimmied up her spine.
In front of her, Cane rubbed her shoulders, appraising her face as if he was beholding a rare treasure. He inched his lips forward and placed a gentle, caressing kiss on her cheek. She cooed again, closing her eyes and tilting her head back.
Was this really happening? Had she fallen asleep back in the spare room and this was all a dream?
If so, she didn’t want to ever wake up.
More wetness seeped from her pussy, telling her that she was very much awake.
“Good girl,” Cane whispered. “You make your Daddies so proud.”
Had he really said what she thought he just said? They’d called her good girl before. She’d always just chalked that up to sweet, innocent flirting. But had he referred to himself as her Daddy?
No. Scratch that question. Had he referred to all of them as her Daddies?
She tried to reach out and take hold, but her nerves got the better of her and she kept her trembling hand tucked at her side.
“It’s okay, darlin’,” one of the men said.
She thought it was Cane. She wasn’t sure, though. In her state—with her eyes closed, her mind hovering somewhere between dream and reality—she couldn’t be sure.
She felt hard stubble scrape across her cheek, a new sensation that once again told her she wasn’t dreaming. She opened her eyes to realize that Cane had moved his face to hers, his lips hovering oh so close.
“Maybe your Daddies need to show you just how beautiful we think you are,” he said. He was still looking into her eyes when he said, “What do y’all say, boys?”
Walker and Austin quickly agreed.
“Daddy, please,” she said to Cane.
She then reached out her arms to the side, signaling she wanted Austin and Walker to hold her hands.
They got the hint and did so, caressing her palms lovingly, both men even bringing their lips down to kiss them.
“I mean, Daddies please,” she said with a giggle.
“That’s the cutest thing I’ve ever heard and music to my ears,” Walker said. “We’ve been waiting on that, babydoll. Now just—”
Before he could finish the command, a shrill, unforgiving alarm rang out in one long, continuous buzz.
In reality, it wasn’t just one alarm. It was three as the firefighters’ phones all blared the warning out together. They were on night mode, so dispatch was routed to them. The ultra-annoying screech of the buzzer was sure to get their attention.
“Shit,” Austin cursed.
He was the first one to reach his phone on the table.
Now, Daisy had forgotten about what had seemed inevitable just moments earlier. “What’s wrong?” she cried.
Every time the guys got a call, her heart sank. She not only worried about her boys coming back safely, but also the people they might be trying to rescue. At this time of night, she assumed it was a medical incident, probably a tourist that fell within their jurisdiction.
But she realized she was wrong when Austin said, “Grass fire. West of town.”
The guys didn’t have to say anything or give an apology. The mission had to come first. Lives might be on the line.
They moved with their trademark speed and efficiency as they bolted from the room and into the garage, ready to gear up and hit the road.
Leaving a very worried—and still aroused—Daisy to pray they came back quickly.
