Chapter Alpha’s Redemption The Rise Of The Rejected Luna 61
Chapter 61
Branwen's large hand brushed against my forehead as 1 sat dazed, still processing the chaos of the night.
His how, soothing voice broke through the stillness of the dark hallway. "Did you hit your head? Are you hurt?" he asked, his concern evident.
The warmth of his palm against my skin sent a jolt through me, waking something deep inside.
My wolf stirred unexpectedly, restless and alert, as if it had been waiting for this moment. It felt strange, unnerving even, how Branwen's touch, so simple and unintentional, could spark such a reaction.
There was a comforting strength in his presence, a kind of magnetic pull that made it hard to think clearly.
and myself drawn to him in a way that made my heart race. Why did he have this effect on me?.
Shaking my head, I forced the thought aside, hoping he wouldn't notice the flush spreading across my cheeks or the way my breath had quickened.
I couldn't afford to let him see how much his presence unsettled me.
"No, I'm fine," I replied, stepping back abruptly and avoiding his gaze. "It was just a small bump."
I turned quickly, eager to leave and escape the awkward tension that was building between us.
My heart was pounding, and I felt like I needed to get away before he noticed how flustered I was.
But just as I was about to take a step, Branwen reached out and caught my wrist. His grip was firm but gentle, enough to stop me without feeling overpowering.
"Wait," he said softly, his deep voice calm but serious. The sound of it made me pause, and I turned to look at him.
His eyes held mine, steady and unreadable. "I need to talk to you about something," he added, his tone almost hesitant. "Can we sit for a moment? It's important."
I hesitated, but his tone was serious, and curiosity got the better of me.
Nodding, I allowed him to lead me to the sofa in the dimly lit living room.
As we sat down, Branwen moved a little closer, his intense gaze focusing on me with an almost unnerving steadiness.
I could feel the weight of his attention on me, making my heart beat a little faster. "You look... flushed," he said, his voice soft but filled with concern. "Are you sure you're not feeling unwell?" He studied my face closely, as if searching for any sign of discomfort. His worry was clear, and I could tell that he genuinely cared about how I was doing.
"I'm fine," I said quickly, leaning back to create some distance. "What did you want to talk about?"
He studied me for a moment, then nodded as if deciding to drop the subject. "When are you planning to finish what you've started in the Snowtooth
Pack?" he asked.
"And when will you come back to the Hurricane Pack with me?"
I bit my lip, knowing this question was inevitable. "Soon," I said.
"But not until I've taken everything away from Silas, including his title as Alpha. He doesn't deserve it."
Branwen sighed and leaned back against the couch, crossing his arms. "I figured as much," he said.
"Ever since you started planting your people within the Snowtooth Pack, I knew what you were aiming for.
I'll support you, but you need to promise me it won't take much longer. We can't stay in this precarious position forever."
I nodded earnestly. "It won't take long now," I assured him. "Everything is falling into place."
For a moment, silence hung between us, the weight of unspoken thoughts pressing heavily.

Then Brgiven straightened, his expression softening. "There's something I need to tell you when all of this is over," he said, his voice quiet.
"What is it?" I asked, intrigued.
He hesitated, then shook his head. "It's about... mates," he said cryptically. "But I'll explain when the time is right."
I wanted to press him for more, but the resolve in his eyes stopped me.
He wasn't going to say anything else tonight.
When I finally returned to my room, Branwen's scent still hung in the air, almost like a comforting presence that I couldn't shake off.
His words and actions kept running through my mind, replaying over and over.
as hard to understand how someone who used to be so cold, so distant, could now be so willing to risk everything for me.
He had saved me countless times, stood by my side when I needed support, and never hesitated to protect me, even when things were dangerous.
It was all so confusing, and yet, I couldn't deny how much it meant to me.
I tossed and turned, unable to sleep as memories of our shared past and recent moments replayed in my mind. Just as I began to drift off, a soft knock on the door startled me. "Lorelei," Branwen's voice called softly from the other side. "We have a problem."
