Alpha´s curvy bullied human mate

Chapter 120: Wolf Intuition

Penelope

"Nate, this is too much!" I say surprised as I walked with my big belly through my house, which looked like it was getting ready for a big party.

People were going back and forth fixing things, others were bringing boxes full of presents, flowers, most were asking me to sit down, be quiet, or preferably lie down. But I was perfectly fine!

"The wolves sense that a new Alpha is close... the future or Moonstone, and they decided to bring all this stuff. I can't do anything, my mate... if they want to express their love for our son, why deny them? They are all so kind" Nate says, while he is arranging everything in the nursery room.

Our little boy's room had been ready for weeks. One of the pack members had volunteered to paint it and had put in a beautiful landscape of mountains with a moon in the background and several wolves as if they were in a big forest. It was really beautiful.

There were little silver stars hanging from the ceiling, chairs, pillows, a beautiful handmade wooden cradle, stuffed animals, woven rugs...my son already had a big closet, full of clothes, and he wasn't even born yet. It was a dream room My heart was touched by all these displays of affection. My father always told me that wolves are very intuitive, and they knew that something important was about to happen, that someone powerful was coming, and they all put their hopes in my little boy. "The new alpha, Baby alpha, the Future of Moonstone" they called him.

All of this made me very worried about the expectations they had for my son. Of course, everyone was also concerned about my health, as the ghost of my mother, who died some time after my brother were born, was still weighing on the hearts of my mate and my father.

So a great care strategy had been implemented at the hospital, with the doctor and all the nurses being extremely prepared, as well as the logistics of getting me home if I started to feel labor pains.

We even rehearsed it... it was really crazy.

"I know, my love...it's just too much. I don't want my little boy to have so many expectations, and I don't want him to be a spoiled, pampered Alpha..." I say and he hug me.

"He won't be...we're going to teach him the importance of humility and kindness, of what's really important. I know I've been a pretty cocky, self-centered Alpha...but I assure you I'm going to devote my body and soul to making sure that doesn't happen to him. New, intelligent and compassionate Alphas will be the ones to lead Moonstone until the Goddess allows us to," he says, kissing my mark. "We're going through so much...I wish he would not suffer so much."

"If anything, our little Alpha will be loved, I don't think any Alpha has been so loved and waited on since he was in his mother's womb, including me! Everyone in the pack is excited about you and our little pup. That says a lot, doesn't it? We were so afraid that the pack wouldn't accept a human Luna... and here they are lining up to talk to you and to give the baby presents..." he says, and I smile.

The world seemed to have turned upside down and everything had changed. Maybe I had to trust in fate and that things would work out.

"Well, they are really beautiful gifts...made with love," I say contentedly.

"I'm sure they'll be well-used, and there's a good generation of pack leaders coming up. Our little one will also have to share all these things with Rebecca and Roger's daughter and Marianne's twins," Nate said as he stroked my belly with soft, circular massages. It feels so good his hands on me, I feel him soothe me.

"We'll have the pack full of kids, all family, sweet and adorable..." I say laughing, imagining the future.

Rebecca and Roger had wasted no time, and she was already a few months pregnant. They were very excited, and the pack had taken it as a very good sign that a Beta was on the way after an Alpha.

On top of that, Marianne was pregnant and of course the doctor had confirmed that she was having twins.

My brothers went crazy and had her take care of her like she was a delicate porcelain doll that will break at any moment. I was going to have nieces or nephews, from the ones I loved the most in my life. I felt it couldn't get any better.

"And if I remember correctly, your brothers will be quite a handful... so we won't be bored. The pack has everything it needs now to be better than ever, the future is bright..." he said, it was a phrase his mother used to repeat. As if that wasn't enough, we also had a very interesting visit that we hadn't expected.

Between the preparations for the birth, the excitement of the whole pack, Marianne being practically put to bed to ensure a calm pregnancy, Ruth running around not knowing what to do, and everyone practically counting the hours until I feel something that would indicate the baby was on the way... well, now there was a big visitor too.

"Is the King really coming all this way? I can't believe it!" said Naomi as she accompanied us.

After not paying the slightest attention to any pack's affairs, the king had apparently become extremely attentive to our problems and involve in all alpha's matters.

"Ever since he found out we were going to have a son," Nate said, annoyed.

It was true that Maximus was attracted to Moonstone, but Jeremiah said it was better for us that the king is involved, since he was on our side. Our vampire king also spoke of a bloody war in the past when many wolves wanted power over others. The king had brought order.

"Maximus is the only one who can control the wolves once they have rebelled," my friend said, repeating Jeremiah's words, and I believed them.

He guaranteed peace between the territories after so many conflicts. The problem was that Maximus always seemed to do things his own way, and now he was trying to interfere in our pack and seems pretty interested in our boy, and that, of course, displeased my mate very much.

"We are doing this for our little one. We need him to be born in peace, okay?" I say to Nate. Horrible things happened in other packs, there is still victims, trafficking, injustices.

"What if other Alphas rebelled? What if they thought they had the right to take over other territories? Territories like ours, alphas like Marco" I explain and Nate kissed my forehead.

"You're right, my Luna....there's nothing left to do but trust him," he says.

Maximus came to see us at a key moment, an honor he gave to very few packs, and my mate was right, he really had his eyes on us.

I was taking my usual walk through the pack when everyone greeted me and came up to see me.

"Truly, the king has spared no effort..." my father says as he watched all the preparation and excitement in the pack. Moonstone was the meeting place, a kind of hub in the werewolf world.

"We can't waste this opportunity...for the king to come and see a human Luna, an Alpha with a human mate...it must be something unique," I told him.

"I know. It's good to have his blessing...it would calm the whole situation between the packs and the dislike some have for humans. But come, rest, my girl. Everything went very well, but you have to be careful, you know that at the slightest problem your Alpha will put you in permanent rest... believe me, you don't want to end up like Marianne," he told me.

My poor friend really fought with my brothers every day, but there were two of them, so they won.

"You're right, I...ohh..." I say suddenly.

"What's wrong?"

"I think...I feel a pain and.... " I say and haven't finished when there's a big commotion.

"Alpha!" I hear screams and Nate appears out of nowhere, carrying me in his arms straight to the infirmary.
